So close.  My hope was the Mop hasn't figured out how the 3 rangers were.  If she didn't guess the mafia could very well have won.

thatguy would have been voted out yesterday.  Toru would have had a pink ranger weakness, making it entirely likely that he would have lived through the night to kill Mop.  After that, it was pretty much as UncleBob said (since I told him all this last night).  ;)

Good game everyone.  (Except Maxi, who is still a cry baby.)

You know what. After thinking about things more basically the majority of the things I did was for my own selfish desires.I was playing for myself and not really whatever team I was on and for that I am sorry.

If anybody wants to respond I'll be back in a few hours. I have some of my backlog to take care of.
Maxi is dead. I killed him and took his posts and changed genders.

On the Maxi subject, who chose him as a monster?

That was my bad. I was hoping it'd shut him up, but instead he suicided. :^/
Stevey was actually my my first attempt, so I knew his role by day 2.  He would've been the first one hit, then we would've gone after the Rangers.

I had a plan if my guess were incorrect. I would try to cancel my vote at the buzzer, so hopefully no one else could act. This would create a 3-way tie in votes, between Vudu, Thatguy, and Dasmos. I'd have still lost, as that action would have eliminated Rita causing a townie win. But it would have been epic!

Alright, so when's the next Mafia game?
Not soon enough.

Stevey was actually my my first attempt, so I knew his role by day 2.  He would've been the first one hit, then we would've gone after the Rangers.

Here's something to think about though.

The Roles of Bulk and Skull were created to force the Rangers to keep semi-quiet.  Since Zedd/Rita already knew who they were, without Bulk/Skull, the Rangers and Zordon could easily have came out and said "Hey, we're the Rangers.  Vote for PersonX" - since there were four of them and only two bad guys initially, it would have been easy to verify who the Rangers were.

Putting Bulk/Skull in there created a barrier to prevent that from happening, allowed me to use the detective role and tie in a little something from the series (Bulk/Skull were both Jr. Police Detectives at one point *and* they spent a good part of a season trying to determine the secret identities of the Power Rangers).

With that, Bulk wins the game with her second guess.  Did anyone catch her first ninja-edit guess?  I didn't until she pointed it out to me!

So Bulk and Skull really got multiple guesses?

So in theory on day 1 Mop it up could have posted every possible combination of Rangers and as long as she got it right before the end of the day (i.e. before anyone could kill her) she could have won?  Fantastic.

I think there was a one guess per day rule but even if there wasn't, there still would have been 364 possibilities on day 1 to go through. It wasn't until day five before the odds of winning weren't insanely small...

Yeah, there was a one-guess per day rule for the team.  When you combine that with the fact that Zedd and Rita would come back as townies and that townies could be promoted to Ranger (although it didn't happen), it would be kinda hard to just randomly guess who the Rangers were.

Yeah, there was a one-guess per day rule for the team.

Didn't you just say that Mop it up got it right on her second guess of the day?

Like stevey points out, she guessed twice, but they were in two separate days.  The first was the day before the day she won.

Ah, I see.  I thought "ninja-edit guess" meant she guessed then changed her mind and guessed again in the same post.  My bad.

No, by Ninja Edit, I meant she posted, then came back later and edited the post to include a guess.  I didn't even catch that she guessed at all until she PM'd me about it.  It was sneaky.

my participation is usually dependent on the game not being stopped for several days at a time, when the game was back on I didn't even get a pm that it was. By chance I just happened to look at it. Also, I think the storyline is important. If your going to skip the Storyline than skip the theme. My first mafia was ran by Khush(f-zero) and it was fucking amazing. The punchout one too was pretty good. I know, i know I won those two, but that isn't why I enjoyed them. Honestly, my participation was limited in the punchout mafia mainly because of circumstance, but somewhat strategically too. I had all the time in the world on this one, but the power rangers had lame ass powers. I couldn't find anything constructive to do with them. Bulk and skull made it so we could never form a townie alliance with only 3 rangers. The fact that there we could create a triumvirate block against monsters meant they would never be effective unless there were two monsters. I think this game could have been a lot better though if there had been more players, it was scaled back significantly from what would have been a pretty good deal to accommodate for the lack of sign-ups.
