General Gaming / Re: NWR Gaming Stream Party!!!

Going to go on a virtual vacation (since I can't afford the real thing) this evening at 8 PM CST with some Go Vacation on the Switch!
I'm approaching affiliate status, any extra eyes I can get on my stream will be much appreciated!

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Nintendo E3 Direct announcements
« on: June 15, 2021, 06:47:48 PM »
I really enjoyed this Direct. My expectations weren't low, but they were measured as Covid seriously affected the industry and development of games.

I loved Metroid Dread's announcement, despite thinking a new 2D Metroid was happening--it was still insanely cool to see. Mario Party Superstars looks like a blast. At first I thought when I saw the teaser image for the game, I went "oh, no, not a Switch port of Mario Party: The Top 100!", but this was so much more. I was excited to see Dragon Ball Z Kakarot arriving on the Switch. WarioWare was exciting, as was the long-awaited return of Advance Wars! Cruis'n Blast is supposedly a fun arcade racer, so I'm looking forward to that this fall and am beyond happy it's finally coming to the Switch.

Seeing Mario Golf: Super Rush in the Treehouse show was incredibly fun as well, as that's my most anticipated game still. Oh! Can't forget Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, which I can't wait to get!

All in all, a great E3 show.

(There was also some Belda game at the end, but I've never heard of it.)

Mario Golf: Super Rush is without question my most anticipated 2021 game so far. Not even joking.
I loved Mario Golf and World Tour so much, and I hope this is just as good!

Yeah, I think that's why it took me so long to get into streaming and Twitch in general, because the UI and just the site in general are so overwhelming. Heck, they still are to me! I just find people to watch from recommendations from my friends, particularly LGBTQIA+ streamers. I appreciate you checking out my stream, and thankfully it was fun for the whole time! :D

I'm going to stream again starting tonight at 7 PM CST. Going to go through a dungeon in Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World that I will find obnoxious, so I could use the company. haha

I don't really have a punchline, unless you consider my insanely short time writing for NWR one. Hey-oooooo!

Started Resident Evil Village this week, and I'm immensely enjoying it. Poor Ethan, though! Regardless, I'm getting big RE4 vibes from it, and that is most definitely a good thing. And what I mean by that is all of the hidden treasures, the shopkeeper, the fun level designs, all that good stuff I loved about RE4.

As one of my favorite Mario spin-offs, alongside Mario Kart, this was a really fun read!  :D
Had a lot of info I was not aware of!

That was a mighty fine

It was just a little TOO big. And I am leaving that opportunity for a joke alone, as I feel above it for the time being.
Thanks for your help, Khushrenada!

Hello! Trying to use this as my new avatar, but I can't get it to work.

When I use a URL and link to that, when I click update, it doesn't show an avatar.

I am no good at computers!  :-[
What am I doing wrong, gang? Thanks, everybody!

It was such a fun stream! I really enjoyed having folks there, and the games were a blast to play before an audience! Glad those random folks who came in who wanted to play 3D World online weren't too disappointed!

I am now at 40 of the 50 followers I need to reach Affiliate, but also need to get a higher average view count, as I'm just above 2 viewers when I need 3.

Thanks BeautifulShy! I did end up taking a break from lots of places in general two weeks ago. Left all the Discords I was in and just took some much needed breathing time. I'm doing much better, though, thankfully, and am planning to be and stay here for the long haul. ha

Sorry, all!

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Monster Hunter Rising to the Occasion

That time on Saturday works! My schedule varies during the week, so I can't commit to a time then, but I try to be in the Discord at least. If you see me there, just shout at me and I'll try to get online for a hunt (or several).

I'm HR 5 or 6. (That stands for Hunter Rank, not High Rank. Someone wise told me that.)

But I'm game for any kind of hunts with folks.

I am definitely up for online hunting. Have just been playing with random strangers, and that has been going well so far.

Very exciting, but I don't see anything in the press release saying it's cross-play, just cross-progression between platforms. Either way, that's mighty awesome!

This would be fun to play with some NWR peeps. I have yet to try online, so would anyone want to help me test my online connection and play some?

Oh yes, as evidenced by the double-dip Wii U thread I was most likely (see 100%) pick this up. It just got delivered to me, so I'm going to dig in with my brother today! :D

I shared four new screenshots to my Twitter today for Screenshot Saturday:

I haven't been working as hard on my game, as I noticed I was going overboard and putting way too many hours into it. Plus, I had some games to review. Regardless, I am continuing to work on my RPG and it's going swell.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: poll: How many Wii U ports have you double dipped on?
« on: February 07, 2021, 12:35:51 AM »
I have purchased these:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Pikmin 3 Deluxe
Captain Toad
LEGO City Undercover
Hyrule Warriors
DKC: Tropical Freeze
Rayman Legends (for the third time...ha)
New Super Mario Bros. U DX
Pokken Tournament DX (forgot this one)

Pretty much everything Nintendo-published save for Tokyo Mirage Sessions, which I will probably get, too.

Oh, those aren't dumb questions at all!

I'm using custom sprites I made for the heroes (but not things like that boulder--save for my boulder edit for when the boulder is submerged in water), custom monster designs, my own music I composed, dialogue is all mine, but things like tilesets are either from other creators who allow their work to be used in others' games or the already made tilesets that come with RPG Maker MV.

And yeah, it's a great tool to get the basics of game creation, but also something that can be rather complicated depending on what one is trying to set out to do.  ;D

Wow! That looks mighty interesting, ThePerm!

I forgot about this thread, so thanks for bumping it and with a great screenshot, too!

I've been hard at work on my RPG Maker MV game, Legends of Adrigal. I made a new area, which is about 7-10 hours into the game.

Also, made an event in my game that serves as a waterfall puzzle of sorts.

I hope posting Twitter links is acceptable, as it's easier for me than uploading them to a different site completely (especially a video like the last tweet has).

Lets see if I can remember them in order.

Hmm... Doing this from memory, so in order of remembrance:

:o I am impressed with your memory. I have to check my gaming log just to remember the games I am currently playing!

Oh, I totally cheated by the end and started looking at my PS4 trophy list and then my Switch home menu. ha
