NWR Feedback / Bug on front page?

I'm not sure if this is happening for anyone else, but recently, every time I visit the front page of the site (not forum), after a few seconds I get a message saying "Warning: Unresponsive script" and I have the option to "stop script" or "continue". If anything, my guess is that the side ad bar is a little screwy, being that that's the only thing that doesn't load when I choose "stop script".

FYI, I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.12 (latest version I think)

General Gaming / HD Noob needs help!!

Hey guys, as stated I am a noob when it comes to HDtv stuff. I just picked up Metroid Prime 3 and want to play it on my new HD Widescreen TV. The question is what do I need to start playing it in HD? I know of the component cables you can get for the wii, but other than that, is there anything else I actually need to get for my TV for it to work? And what's HDMI all about? Like i said....noob

I'd appreciate any help I can get! Thanks in advance!

Hey, before I go and play Prime 3 today, can anyone give me a rundown on what the story is so far from Prime to Prime 2? I beat the first one but never played through prime 2. So I really have no clue about Dark Samus and all that junk.

Hey, just wanted to tell you guys that I really miss the staff comments at the end of the news articles. It was always something that made this site unique and just more interesting. To go along with that, the comments at the bottom of the screenshots were always fun too. Any chance of them making a return?

Nintendo Gaming / What's next after Wii?

Its been stated several times by Nintendo that right when they release a console, they immediately begin working on another. With a little over a month away from the release of the Wii, you can't help but wonder. So to get away from all of the Wii talk for a sec, what do you think could possibly come next? I've always had my theory of "new console --> graphical upgrade--> new console --> graphical upgrade" aka NES --> SNES -->N64 -->GC. This theory is actually still in effect for Nintendo, despite how competitors are releasing a second graphical upgrade. Now, its a little strange to think of what an upgrade for Wii would be, or if there will even be one rather than another brand new console.

The first thing that comes to mind for the successor to Wii would just be an even more immersive experience. Possibly more compact methods of control like ankle straps, wrist bands, head band and the like, all with motion tech installed. Maybe even, dare I say it, a VR helmet? Then again, these can pretty easily become new accessories for the Wii. Overall, I really think Nintendo can bring us closer to the brink of virtual reality better than anyone else can.

Anyway, share your ideas here. Cause whatever we can come up with, is probably something Nintendo is thinking about right now.

General Chat / just had a dream about the new PGC

 So yea, the dream was that PGC was totally renovated for next gen gaming. It was so clear too. The layout was absolutely horrible, i was so disappointed. The whole site was like 2 shades of blue and it looked like a forum more than a news site. The best part was the name...not PlanetRevolution or PlanetNintendo or anything....just.... "THE FORCE hosted by WB11" in huge letters! No idea where that came from. The one cool thing about it though was that it looked like you could leave forum posts from your Pictochat. Cool idea actually. Anyway, some advice for PGC...dont rename the site "THE FORCE" and don't start any sponsorship with WB11( or WB whatever it is by you ) cause it won't turn out well.

I randomly checked my calendar today and found that E3 is exactly 100 days away. Which means 100 days until the total exposure of the Nintendo Revolution. Needless to say, I'm psyched. So, i'd like to use this thread as an official countdown. I'd also like to know who's coming this year so leave a post and we'll hopefully meet up in LA!

TYP kept trying to pull off the hardest shortcut in the game...the big jump to the boardwalk in Delfino Square. I witnessed his efforts a few times and thought he was crazy for trying to do it on the fly like that. Then suddenly...he makes it! right in the middle of a race he makes a perfect landing on the boardwalk and is about to make his way back on the road!............but then I hit him with a red shell before he makes it back on track...

lol sorry to ruin that perfect landing TYP, awesome moves

Nintendo Gaming / Why is I-Ninja bad?!

Ok, this has been bothering me today. Anyone who has played I-Ninja please read. Before the game even came out, I was kinda looking forward to it. I'm a big fan of platformers and it looked pretty different and fun.  When I got the game, a while ago, It was fun and everything but it seemed to just lack something. After a few days I got bored with it and havent played it again...until today.

I saw my little brother randomly playing it today and was intrigued. I looked at all the aspects of the game again and in the end...I really couldnt put my finger on what I don't like about it. I mean the graphics and art are beautiful, unique, and very stylistic. The gameplay and control seem great too. Theres classic hovering, double jumping and the such. Theres even newer things like running along walls, grappling, and wall jumping. As for lastability, every so often after killing enough baddies or beating enough levels, you get another sword or differently ranked headband. The music is just fine. I wouldnt buy the soundtrack or anything but its acceptable. Plus, have you seen the physics in this game? Really awesome.

So i really need some answers. This seems like my dream game. Can anyone tell me why the heck I dont like this game? Why was it such a flop? For the people who played it and stopped, why?
