Title: Spoil a 30+ year-old movie for the rat (spoiler alert, for real)
Post by: King of Twitch on March 17, 2015, 02:12:25 PM

can you spoil a 30-year-old movie?

Yes you can. There are plenty of 30 year old, and much older, movies I have yet to see.

Here are a few off the top of my head:

Ben Hur--wins the chariot race.

Star Trek 1--Spock doesn't die at the end

The Ten Commandments--Moses had to rewrite them himself

Godzilla--ends up reviving Japan's construction industry

E.T.--destroys Japan's video game industry

OK that's all I can think of for now.

The Terminator goes Commando and kills a Predator while undercover as a Kindergarten teaching Cop.

That's not even mentioning him being 1 half of a set of Twins, which gives me a Total Recall to the True Lies of him being The Last Action Hero that likes to drink T 2.

THE RAT was my Hip-Hop persona that I used to create rap music under. My most recent album was titled "Freedom of Speech" released in 2014. My techno/dance music was released under the name DJ Serial Killa. I have been in the market for a new persona but I haven't thought of anything good so I just resurrected animecyberrat from that account I originated on here so many years ago.

Kindergarten Cop = '90
Twins = '88
Total Recall = '90
True Lies = '94
The Last Action Hero = '93

they're all before your time (21-30yrs ago), and that's good enough for me.

In the original cut ending, it was revealed that Professor Marvel actually drugged and raped her and everything she dreamed was simply her mind trying to cope with the horrific event and the high powered drugs she had been dosed with.  The farm hands *were* actually there...

At the record store, Tammy has been avoiding Tony's advances; she calls Lisa who joins them at the record store. Lisa offers Tony "anything" and she begins to fellate him, then Tammy joins in, and he ejaculates on Tammy's breasts. Debbie dresses as a "Texas Cowgirl" and goes to see Mr. Greenfield after hours at the store. She fellates him, he then penetrates her vagina with his finger and performs cunnilingus on her. Then they engage in sex, first in the missionary position, then doggy style, and then with Debbie on top. They finish in the missionary position before Mr. Greenfield ejaculates on Debbie.

Taken from Wikipedia.

That's not even a spoiler. That's just a description of the movie. You're not the only one to make this mistake but I just felt it was time to point it out. That spoils nothing!

That you haven't.

Greed - The man/husband kills his wife's cousin who was trying to kill him for killing his wife only to realize he's been handcuffed to the dead cousin and dies from thirst in the desert from dragging the body. That's a spoiler. And I feel bad for doing it because Greed is a really great movie but I doubt any of you people here are going to watch a 1924 black and white silent movie with missing film footage so whatever.

I have seen dozens of movies that fit that description, many of the Edison films, Metropolis, Nosferatu, Le Voyage dans la Lune, too many to list but those are the main ones. As a film student I have watched most of the early films that are considered prominent and that includes Birth of a Nation as well as several Chaplin and lots of really cool German films that were made during WW2 but are considered "taboo" today.
