What is a "Thoroughly Unhelpful Response"?

In my mind it is where there is a full day of farming to do and you ask someone to help and they say they will but in the end you have to do it on your own. Like they lead you on and say they are going to change but never does.

It is also where you respond to something that seems very deep but it is very surface level that anyone can tell you.
