Ok I went and rented it today.  It isnt very good, I was hoping the charm would grow on me, but alas I find more frustration than charm.

How is the Wii version doing?  Personally I hope it does well so more sports games can find a home on the Wii.  I would love to see a NBA2k game.  I am also hoping for online next year...

I agree, I see the jaggies much better on my 50" TV, but the colors and clarity make up for it.

I can confirm that, I called several targets and they all said that they had them for tomorrow, but wouldnt tell me how many.  Toys r us also has them for tomorrow.  I wish I knew how early I had to get there to be sure I have one.  It was 60 last week, 30 out this week.  So much colder.

I never enjoyed Yoshi Island on the GBA (never played it on snes), but I always assumed it was because of the weird controls tacked onto the GBA.  I would like to get it for the VC.

Bu if the other one pissed me off a little, with the shooting of eggs and the wierd proportions, is the DS one any better?

Does the flyer say anything.  I seem to hear rumors of a Sunday re-release at Wal-Mart, toys r us, etc.  Should I be waiting there for them to open?

Smash Brother:  Copyright infringement is a civil offense and not a criminal one.  The police really dont care or really enforce civil law.  Thats why the RIAA is sueing kids, and the FBI is not banging down their doors.

I think some patience is required.  The thing has only been out for less than 2 weeks, once they get the cream of the crop games released it will be awesome.  Prices are reasonable, but I wish you could demo games.  The Wii supply is being eaten by early adoptors who will buy anything Nintendo puts out.  They still have some time to release the games we all want to see.  But Ecco is awesome, I would just love to see Mario World.  

Do you think Nintendo loves us enought to release the Mario World, or will we have to buy every one seperately?

I couldnt even find any reviews for the 360 version.  Lets hope they concentrated on gameplay and content over a marketing campaign...

Still its not like they have any PS3s, or will have for a long time, so there is no reason to build up any hype for something they cant even sell.  Good news still, as hopefully they are confident enough in the supplies they will be getting so I may be able to find one soon.  Good news for Nintendo as they can easily capitalize on the unavailability of the PS3.

I was at toys r us yesterday, the chap said that they expect incrimental small shipments via fed ex.  I dont know if he just wants me coming back to the store everyday or what.

Interesting enough, he said that finding a console shouldnt be a challenge, but finding additional controllers and accessories will be.

Stopping at Target yesterday, they had PS3s on the shelf when I was there(for how long I dont know) but no wiis.

So my advice, and my plan is to check early check often.

I would think that there would be some coverage at least because it is a launch game, and seems a prefect fit for the abilities of the wiimote.

But I agree, fishing games usually fly under the radar.  But even IGN reviews fishing games for the systems.  Granted most suck.  Thats why I am anxious to hear something on rapala fishing for the wii.

if you want games in 720p just make sure your TV does automatic upscaling.  I think N, to keep dev costs down and ensure consistency, is limiting the dev tools to 480p.

I think its pretty much what I expected and will still be the best value in town.  I think the confusion/pessimism comes from when you think of the wii as inferior to the xbox/ps3.  However, it is the most innovative and focused console of this 'next gen'.  It has a lot of games that will be found nowhere else and an experience that will be found nowhere else.  I can't wait to get my hands on one, I think everything is still on track to spell success for Nintendo.
