breaking bad is about a chemistry teacher with lung cancer whose wife is pregnant with a baby, and his teenage son has cerebral palsy. He sells Meth with a former student to pay for their futures along with his cancer treatment. You think your life is bad? The show is riveting! Its like weeds on meth.

The colony 6/10 A great idea that could have been executed better, minus points for being obviously staged.

Thats one of the few shows in recent memory i've seen ads for and looked interesting, but as usual i never end up watching. I really need to get either a dvr/tivo or a decent computer so i can watch these shows online.

I watched an episode of The Colony on DSC the other day. It reminded me of the European version of Big Brother that spunoff to a show about "Big Brother" only the people joining the show didn't know they were gonna have to survive during a Zombie outbreak.... only The Colony wasn't that interesting.

Some of the people impressed me with their ingenuity with putting together parts from random machines to create other machines, especially one that generates electricity, but like ThePerm said, it suffered from obviously being staged. Which is not it's fault since it does take place in the middle of LA.   They probably should have moved the show to some unknown abandoned factory town in CA, it might have helped with the atmosphere.

Oh man you guys throw 10/10's out like they're nothing. I'd only ever give 5 TV shows perfect 10/10's.

The Office (UK original)
Futurama (The movies don't count)
Seinfeld (Season 8 & 9 weren't as great though)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (Sooooooo pumped for Season 7, it's gonna be Seinfeld x Curb. I think of too many greater things)

Arrested Development (I'd actually give this 100/10)

Of the **** I have been watching recently though, basically on DVD.

Flight Of The Conchords - 7/10
Two New Zealanders in a comedy folk rock band try to make it in America. The first season was good and had relevant songs, in the second the jokes are starting wear thin and most of the songs suck.

Scrubs - 7.5/10
Daydreaming doctor clowning around in a hospital. First 5 seasons were gold, season 6 and 7 sucked. 8 was a return to form and had a great ending for the series.

I've only given 1 show a 10/10 because only one show has drawn me in to the point where one of the actors might have gotten his ass whooped on sight. That's The Shield. I seriously has a "Wanted: Dead or Alive" reward going in my head. I knew it was just an actor on the show, but I wanted his head on a stake.  If a show can draw you in with great over arching story lines, excellent acting & unique flimography till you're so invested and dedicated that you almost take the show is a reality, then that definitely says something either about my grip on reality or the excellence of the show.

yeah i watched the first episode of weeds this season on Netflix, then they didn't have the other episodes. I missed 3 episodes thinking i would just catch up only to find out that they even pulled the first one. I had to wait till a marathon to catch up, and shortly after we canceled our cable, so i was left hanging.

Yeah, I am going to remove Seinfeld and Curb from my list. There are episodes and Seasons which I avoid, so they don't deserve it. Anyway they are the only 10's I would give out of all the TV shows I have watched, definitely nothing recently.

Operation Repo: 187/10 (187 as in *censored* each and every single repo person on this show)

*censored*censored*censored*censored*censored*censored*censored*censored*censored* assholes.

I wanna miss a payment on something just so they can show up to my house. I know I would end up in jail, and people would say "was it really worth it over a car" and my only reply would be "...it wasn't about the car". But atleast I would put an end to this show. No reality show gets me worked up more than this one & I hate watching it, but my girl won't change the freaking channel!!!!!! because she knows how I get worked up while this show is on. I'm always rooting for the hopeful gun toting, knife wielding, crazy, murderous psycho to be the next repo. I just never get what I was hoping for.

I'm sure it has to do with the fact that I've had a car repo'd and the repo man tried to kill us(story for another time), but this show gets under my skin.

Bravo stevey, Bravo.

Look, if you guys want to balance it out, go watch some rubbish shows like Days of Our Lives and give it a 0/10. I am sure that will make everyone here happy.

Reality 0/10

Any talent/singing/idol show. Why zero?, because none of them has anything as talented as this.

Sex Decoy: -5/10

This show is absolutely horrible. It wants to be like Cheaters (which is entertaining 7/10), but they never actually catch anybody doing anything. Everything is left up to "what ifs", "might haves" & "maybes".

example you say. sure why not.
Man suspect fiance of cheating because lately she always takes his dog (which she hates) to the dog park after work. So instead of staking out the dog park for a few days(like any idiot investigator would do) to see if she is meeting someone there, they immediately set up a male decoy through one of the female investigators to approach her, but they **** it all up. the female investigator approachers her and is very blunt in introducing the male decoy and aggressively sets up a double date between the "mark", the decoy, the investigator and her imaginary BF. It ends up with "the mark" the decoy & the investigator in the park and they ask if she("the mark") is married, to which she honestly replied "No, I'm not married".....
her fiance jumps out of the van(prematurely) and confronts her right away and they still haven't proved that she was doing anything.

It's the exact same thing with the woman trying to catch her husband cheating. They have no proof of anything and leave you with a bunch of "well at this point they could have done this or this.... but we moved in too early to prove that any of that would have even happened."

This show is pointless.

Cheaters 7/10

This show is the perfect background distraction. You put this show on while you surf the net or do (home)work. The situation they find people in is just some damn entertaining television and nothing beats the expression and the arguments you see once the wrong doing cheater is confronted. Sometimes they run, sometimes they beg for forgiveness. Sometimes they leave with their cheatee & other times the accuser gets put in their place. You just never know, and thats what makes it great. In one episode the host of the show got stabbed and thrown off the side of a boat.... you can't script that kind of stuff.

The only drama I could give an unqualified 10/10 would be Star Trek: Deep Space 9. If you're not a Star Trek fan you may have some kind of preconceived notion of what the series is, and chances are you're way off when it comes to Deep Space 9. DS9 is unlike any other Star Trek; it's by far the best written, and somehow manages to simultaneously be the darkest Trek and the funniest Trek. There's so much more story depth and character development in DS9 than in any other Trek series or movie. I'd say that there are fewer than 5 episodes of the series that aren't at least very good, and the Dominion War storyline that takes place over the latter half of the series is amazing. I'm a big fan of Star Trek in general, but I'd put Deep Space 9 head and shoulders over anything else the series has ever done.

Nope, sorry, lifelong Trekkie here, and urong. The best show, by far, was Next Generation. It basically laid the foundation for every Star Trek that came afterward. TOS has its place, but it's almost too campy to revisit. Star Trek is about diplomacy, peace, and exploration: Next Generation basically defined each term. DS9 tried and succeeded for awhile, but when the Gem'Hadar/Founders/Federation war started dragging beyond two seasons, things quickly went downhill. Religion was also a heavy theme in DS9 (Bajoran gods) which didn't gel with the rest of the series (or franchise). It eventually turned into something of a soap opera.

Voyager inhereted Next Generation's mantle and, for a time, provided a worthy follow-up. Then the Borg thing happened. Always with the goddamn Borg in Voyager. Toward the end of the show, it was Borg Borg Borg. That annoyed me. The first four (maybe five) seasons were great. The exploration of Seven as a disconnected Borg was great, but they didn't need to, afterwards, Borgify the entire show.

Anyway.

I just started Home Movies. You'll only like this show if you liked Dr. Katz (which I did): it's by the same people, but a little more plot-driven. My favorite part of Katz was the interaction between Dr. Katz and his son, I ddin't so much like the therapy sessions, which were just comedians doing their routines. Home Movies removes that aspect of the show and focuses on the characters, which I like.

This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.
