I haven't played a Katamari game in over a decade, so I'm looking forward to Reroll.

I'm not surprised that it was delayed, given how little we've heard about the game.  However, I was expecting March 2019, like most holiday-season games that get delayed.

Great review!  Most RPGs drag on WAY too long, so the fact that this one's shorter than most sounds like a plus to me.  It'll actually hold my attention to the end.

This is far and away my favorite indie game ever.  I would have re-bought it if it had just the tiniest bit of new content.

Also, I like the story and the voice acting, unlike most people.

I loved the GBA ChuChu Rocket due to the tremendous number of puzzles in it.  It's a shame this game doesn't have the same scope.  Like you said, being able to share levels online would be awesome. :(

I hope there's a wide variety of single player modes.  That's what I think is still really up in the air.

Dixie Kong is my top choice, followed by Spring Man.  Isaac from Golden Sun could use some love too.  I don't really see why people think Waluigi deserves to be a full-fledged fighter...

33
To use any other Pokemon but Pikachu or Eevee, you have to sacrifice a whole turn to switching them out?  That's an incredibly stupid decision that needs to be changed.

34
I can't wait until Game Freak finally moves on from using symbols in place of actual attack animations.  I know making that shift would require a lot of work, but it would help bring the battles to life.

I absolutely loved this game.  I think the Sonic comparisons are overblown: this has much more nuanced combat and better stage design.  If you missed it the first time, you'd better not miss it again!

Okay, I'm confused.  Why not just let us download the game and keep it?  I don't understand much about cloud gaming, but wouldn't having to put up with your Internet connection the entire time to run the game make things worse?

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Details Switch Online Plans

Rather than give us dedicated servers to improve the overall online experience to justify the price, Nintendo gives us NES games... again.

I've never used Virtual Console much at all since I still own all my classic games, but this is still disappointing to hear.  Nintendo's clearly not listening to consumers, many of whom have been begging for Switch Virtual Console since the system was released.  This will greatly limit the number of classic games we can play on the go.

Interesting.  I too hope this proves to be a fun change of pace from the norm.

Personally, I think is MUCH better than Half-Genie Hero.  Half-Genie didn't have dungeons, and the linear nature of most of the world made the huge amount of backtracking a miserable chore.  I'd strongly suggest people stick with Pirate's Curse.

Very interesting.  I hope this experiment works out well for Nintendo.

I didn't like M&L2, so I stopped with the series.  I heard this was a much better game, though, so maybe I'll give this a shot.

43
This shocked me more than any other announcement I've heard this year.  This is (well, was) the only PS4-exclusive I was interested in, so I'm happy to see it will make its way to the Switch.  I pre-ordered it already!

Maybe Super Mario Maker 2 will launch that month as well?

The last console Mario Golf game we got was on the GameCube.  I don't really see how they can expand on Mario Tennis without resorting to even more lame gimmicks, so I'm not interested.

$13.  Given the short length, I think I'll wait for a sale, but I'm intrigued.  It's a shame mediocrity like Yooka-Laylee gets so much attention while truly new ideas like this are so overlooked.  This game only has 4 reviews on Metacritic.

Mario Maker 3DS made more money than the new Mario Party collection?  That's saying something.

How long does the average stage/battle last in this game?  I want to know how much pick-up-and-play value this has.

Indie developers sure like making brutally difficult platforming games, don't they?

I never really considered Kanto to be "post-game" content.  I always thought of it as more of the actual game.  After all, there's still more story, and the credits even play again after beating Red.

But anyway, the Pokemon games have improved vastly since the days of old, so I can't imagine going back.
