I assume that's Aussie Slang for respect. Whatever happened to "That's a real Mickey Mouse job, Mate"?

Yeah, usually when you're impressed / overwhelmed with something, for example this awesome thread. 'Mickey mouse job' is not complimentary, it would mean flimsy, weak, for example not at all to do with this awesome thread. /end Aussie interpretations

What a thread this is gonna be some good reading.

Really? Someone told me that Mickey Mouse job was a compliment in Australia because it means flimsy here in North America as well. I was lied to. I was made to look like a fool in front of the Aussie contingent and they are a tough crowd to gain respect with.

Curse you stevey!

Mafia XXII STILL haunts my draums and makes me tense up, with knots in my stomache at the thought of what that game put me through.

I also wonder about finishing the story write-ups in that, you know, the parts where the townies start being AWESOME?

... yeah... the townies pulled off an end-game miracle there.

What we don't have is that I won Mafia XXII Alpha build before it started :p

That was when, before day one, I found the killer and three mafia members, then received an accidental letter from the mafia listing the rest of the mafia members, and we reset the game.  I still feel like I deserve a should get to put an extra tally in the "win" column for that.  That pre-game was likely my best work ever, as a lowly townie, and absolutely, positively should cancel out all the BS about Day One.  If I can find four townie enemies in two hours, certainly anyone can find one player worth voting for in a day.  You just have to try.

Anyways, I think that should get bundled in the honorable mentions, perhaps.

NO.

I'M NOT GONNA FALL FOR THAT AGAIN.

I have my life back now, the wounds have finally healed, the pain has started to fade, and I'm about to graduate college. Getting back into mafia would be like me getting bad into WoW: bad news. LOL.

How can you take credit for recieving a PM accidentally?

Aside from that, yeah, that was a helluva game. First the reset, then the dupe account saga, then the backstabbing, the trainee bounty hunter, and the general chaos along the way.

Alright, I'll just take the credit for finding the killer and three mafia members, then.  And, I believe I had recruited some high-profile townies, you were the investigator then, correct?  Was there anyone else I put together that had a role?  Remember, that was before I received the wrong PM, that I learned all of this.  Definitely hall-of-fame worthy.  It's too bad that game did get screwed up, it would have been funny to see mafia reactions on Day 1.

youd think forum mafia would be popular enough to get its own section on the boards even outside funhouse

Actually Perm that is a good idea.  I would be totally awesome to create its ownsection and drop every Mafia thread into that section.

Oh memories I glad I was part of the team that brought us the first well orchestrated Mafia WIN!!
Mafia IV was my highlite, and I don't really remember which Maafia was my last Mafia but I just didn't have the all day access that was needed to play effectively.

I know I've been off the scene for a while, but I'm surprised at how many Mafia games there have been and how strong the interest in them still are. I'm gonna have to get involved in one again one of these days, probably next year, when I have time.

Great thread and all, but the Pink and yellow text is almost unreadable. If you would like to do something about it, I would much appreciate it.

Yeah. Yellow just seemed so perfect for the Simpsons mafia. But the end result, not so great. Maybe I'll color code by hosts.

Well, I don't want to bump any of the Sonic Mafia threads at the moment. Let those drop down so as not to get them in the way of Decoyman's mafia.

But I did want to post the winner of the Sonic RPG: The Dark Chronicles game. That goes to Nickmitch which I suppose is only fitting since he was the man voted for with the best play and helped the mafia win in the latter half of the game.

It was a small crowd. With Decoyman and Mr. Jack bowing out for the evening and nobody filling their place, that left 6 people. Of those 6, Dasmos and Golden Phoenix never showed. So, that left the competition down to four. Maxi, Mario, Nickmitch and RABicle. Sadly, RAB also had to bow out halfway through at a point where he was tied for the lead.

Similiar to the mafia game, Nickmitch was rather quiet early on but then he poured it on at the end including getting the last three questions to put ahead for the win.

I'll post highlights of the chat and game tomorrow. I'd also suggest all further discussion about Sonic Mafia or any mafia previous, now be contained within this thread and to just let the others whither and drop until Unclebob bumps them in a few months.
