Nintendo Gaming / Fire Emblem Awakening: Perfect Pairs & Utter Failures

As you can tell from this posts title, I have currently been playing the new Fire Emblem game. (it is also my first F.E. game) and have been enjoying it very much 
.
Now on with my topic. I am curious to learn what character pair ups or even individual characters have other F.E.A. gamers had great success with?, and then on the other hand which pair ups or characters no matter how hard you have tried you just can't make work?
I realize all of this is anecdotal, but I think it could still be interesting, and who knows maybe even in some cases beneficial too others.
Here are my entries. (at least for now)
Perfect Pairs: Kellam & Sully (Kellam is probably a henpecked SOB
), My Character & Panne., Chrom & Vaike. (to date these 3 pair ups have not been bested in battle. But knowing my luck, this will not hold up over time)
Utter Failures: Virion & Sully, Stahl & Miriel (to be honest Miriel and any other character
)

What are the possible disadvantages to publishers of a digital version being released at same time as the cartridge version?

I need to be educated on game marketing. I play games but have virtually no understanding of the whys and hows of their marketing.
So here are my questions. 1:Why are some but not all 3DS retail games offered on the e-shop?
2: Is it likely that games such as RE Revelations and MG Solid Snake eater will eventually be offered on e-shop?
And my last question is this. Is the possible reason for the lack of information regarding the CPP XL NA release, Be because it could be getting bundled with Monster Hunter 3G Ultimate?

I will probably buy a 3DS XL this fall and my first purchase will be Marvel Pinball. The only question I have is this. Is it likely that the rest of the tables will be made available as DLC sometime down the road?
