Nintendo World Mafia - Day 2 - First Blood
« on: January 08, 2007, 09:00:28 PM »
So like all the people on the board got all worked up because animecyberrat was back despite being banned months earlier. They figured segagamer12 was obviously him. But oh no it wasn't! Buckethatted Mike Gamin! Gamin ralised that posting under his normal Pale name on the new board would be obvious suicide as all the forumers would think him in league with NWR staff when he was still deciding his loyalties himself! He made the mistake of pretending to be segagamer though as everyone was angry with him anyway and probably wouldn't change their mind even if he revealed he was really Pale. In the end it was a stinging barb from whoever was pretending to be Sir_Stabbalot who remarked that segagamer "reminded him of homosexuality" causing Pale to burst into tears and leave NWR forever!

When he heard of this, Steven Rodriguez was displeased even more than that time Billy was mad because I scratched up his towel after he wouldn't change the Paper Mario 1000 Year Door score despite being able to. Steven wasn't happy with the weak heartedness of Mike, who simply left because he was weak and he was especially unhappy with the revelation of Mike's sympathies for the forumers. He wasn't going to take this so he jsut LASHED OUT AND BANNED BILL or whoever it was behind that account. He didn't even tell any of his goons about it! He just pushed the ban button all by himself. Turns out it was the local board harlet Professional 666 masquerading as Bill.

Ian Sane saw all this and made a note on his facebook account. It read as follows (although obviosuly not in quote formating because Ian doesn't know how to use those):
Quote

Today has been quiet, and I know why, it's because nobody wants to be involved in this non-game that will single handedly sink NWR as we know it. Yesterday, just when I was about to flush, I dropped my sandwich into my toilet and while i was getting it out I realised that if I had dropped this in the ocean from a boat, I would never have been able to get it back and eat it. Some times things we once loved change and disappear forever and NWR is no different, the site is falling apart and the blame is on everyone but me.

segagamer is voted out, he was NWR turncoat.
Bill Aurion was killed by NWR, he was town whore.

SOME ANNOUNCEMENTS!
Days are now 24 hours long. It's clear a few of you were put out by yesterday's timetable as was I. Since my working hours are getting stupid, I feel this is the only way we can make the game better for all. This means all night actions have to be PMed to me between now and this time tomorrow. Regardless of the time you PM them, they will not take effect until the half hour gap or so between days.

I can get behind Voting Garnee if the sole reason is because he wasn't originally planning to play.  Also, I should vote because I totally missed out on yesterday (aside from being asked to lock the thread in the late afternoon).

Haha, I was actually quite confused there.  You'll notice that that post in the ghost thread was edited.  That is because it originally said "But you didn't die" in response to bill, because I read the story originally thinking that the role of Bill, being the town whore, was killed off, thinking of course that someone else had the role named after him.  It wasn't until I dug deeper that I realized that the town whore position was actually named for Pro 666 not Bill, so Bill in fact was the one who was killed.

See, I totally was confused.

Actually, Garnee does play these games, contrary to popular opinion. Just because he hasn't voted the first day is no reason to assume he's not playing. A lot of people didn't vote yesterday, myself included. Frankly, this day is the first real test to see who is voting and who isn't. Even though Mafia 12 only lasted a day, Garnee did vote that day. The man just has a bad rap because of cicumstances that affected him two games in a row. I don't know why I come to his defense all the time but for some reason I do. I guess I just like fighting lost causes.

Speaking of which, if everyone thinks Garnee isn't going to play, why waste a vote on him? He'll be dead by the end of the third day then. That said, I just hope Garnee doesn't turn out to be mafia this game or this defence could bite me. He's always been a townie so I'm going to rely on his past record.

And with that, maybe I can persuade you to vote for someone else. I'll be casting my vote for Stevey (I guess not). In honor of our host 18 Days, I though it might be fitting if we give Stevey an early sendoff considering the feud they've had in mafia games. Plus, with Pale imitating Stevey so well, we really don't need the orginal. Too much money. Finally, if everyone votes for Stevey, I would love to see him resolve all the vedettas he would have. That is my favorite part of the plan. In fact, it might even mean the end of vedettas, as everyone rises up and resoundly says no to revenge. But that's me.

Does not compute; you know as well as I do that games are independent and therefore roles in past games have to influence on current or future games.

Blaine Cocksworth woke up - he was taking a nap, as he generally did after classes. He yawned, and stretched himself out in what he hoped was a highly sensual manner (he did this for the boy in the other dorm who always watched him through the window. The boy of his dreams. The boy who, one day, would take him away to the Cayman Islands - where they would live happily ever after. Yes.) Then he remembered he had signed up for that stupid mafia thing... so he went over to his laptop, and booted up Unix (he liked his operating systems as hardcore as his yaoi.) After logging into NWR (Username: Smoke39 Password: Kenshinagogo), he began typing:

"I'm glad I'm playing myself so no one will bug me about my avatar - Link is so CUTE," he wrote, adding ""

...Oh, right, he had to vote for someone, didn't he? "VOTE SHIFT KEY for having a really confusing avatar!"
“...there are those who would...say, '...If I could just not have to work everyday...that would be the most wonderful life in the world.' They don't know life. Because what makes life mean something is purpose.  The battle. The struggle.  Even if you don't win it.†- Richard M. Nixon

Wait a sec... wouldn't mafia members have more reason to play everyday? I would think that townies would be more likely to miss out. Doesn't this mean that we should be focusing on the people who are uber active because they're proving that they have a vested interest in the outcome?

Not necessarily.  If you're mafia it may be a good idea to play it nonchalant.  "Forgetting the game" might just be a ploy to get you to think he doesn't have a good role (I've done it before; not that is necessarily works).

If you're really hardcore (or bored) check out previous mafia threads and see how they player played when he was and wasn't someone good.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Vote TVman

Thanks for defending me, Khush.  I do indeedy intend to play Mafia every time there is one, but I have a pretty crazy schedule between work, school, extracurriculars, etc.  I didn't vote yesterday because apparently the voting ended before I could get in.  I generally do my internet surfing at night, as opposed to after school, so I was dismayed to find out that voting ended before I could get in.  So yeah, just to clear it up, I do intend to play in every way, shape and form, but just have a hectic schedule.  Plus it doesn't help that my ISP blowz.

Am I too late now?  And for future reference, when is voting over anyway?
Yeah, I do play mafia games.

Well, this isn't the way I thought things would go. But thanks to Vudu, I guess I might as well go all the way in my support for Garnee and VOTE TVMan. I didn't want to go after TVMan. I like him and wanted to see him go further but the voting has caused me to vote this way.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

I'm CONFUSED! Who to vote for?!?!?

... Okay. NEXT time, I DON'T vote at all until the very last second. That way, I flip flop less.

Oh, and I'll hop on the bandwagon and VOTE TVMAN.

I didn't really want to vote for Khush anyways... I liked the actor who played that character, was he the same one in Joe and the Apartment?

Silly monkeys; give them thumbs they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an a eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.

Well this behavior is pathetically transparent. Let's see who TVMan turns out to be.

By the way, the Bourne Supremacy is one of the greatest films of all time.
