Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages Dated in USA
« on: April 17, 2013, 11:09:20 AM »

The final handheld Zelda titles are coming to Virtual Console soon.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/33894

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages have finally been announced for a May release on the 3DS Virtual Console.

This will complete the list of Zelda games that have yet to see a re-release on Nintendo's Virtual Console service and mark the final two yet-unreleased Zelda handheld games, including Link's Awakening DX for Game Boy Color, Four Swords Anniversary Edition and the GBA title The Minish Cap, which was given to 3DS Ambassadors.

In USA, the games will release onto the eShop on May 30, with simply "May" listed for PAL territories. The games have already been on the Japanese eShop since February this year.

I've honestly never played these games before, so they jump right onto this year's "buy" list... ouch! My poor wallet!

Is it bad that I'm more excited about these games being released than the new 3DS Zelda? Hopefully there is a reduced-price bundle offered here just like in Japan.

I've never played them either. I'm really looking forward to giving them a shot.

I loved Oracle of seasons, but I have 1 issue "The Minish Cap, which was given to 3DS ambassadors".
I'm not one. I own a 3DS and a 3DS XL and I can't buy The Minish Cap. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that they aren't ever planning on releasing The Minish Cap on the 3DS eShop.

However, do you think there's a chance that The Minish Cap could be one of the games they decide to bring out on the Wii U virtual console since they said that they are going to bring out GBA games on it?

I liked seasons better than ages but either way they're two of the best zeldas ever made. Linking them together was awesome. I highly recommend them for those who've never played before.
