It's time for Nintendo World Report's annual telethon for Child's Play charity.

What is Child's Play? "A game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 100 hospitals worldwide"
What are we doing? A 12 hour telethon to raise money that will provide games and toys for kids in hospital. We'll also be giving away a smorgasbord of prizes for listeners during the telethon!
When? Saturday, October 15, starting at 11:30 AM Eastern.

Last year we raised more than $4800 for Child's Play. Going by the older Telethon articles, it looks like in 2014 we hit $6200, in 2013 we hit $7200, and in 2012 we hit around $5000?

There goes my entire Saturday. That's a great lineup of content. I'll do what I can to make sure we get to hear what will no doubt be a well thought out and informative segment from Jon and James near the end.

Even if you don't have anything you can spare this year what ALWAYS helps is if you aid in getting the word out! Lure them with our comprehensive list of glittering prizes, mention it during your daily conversations (my boss donated today when I talked about it!), tell them of insanity-driven shenanigans... it all contributes guys!

eI've been really sick and up all night, and I lack a working microphone, so... my participation is minimal. that being said, I've been trying to do my due diligence and get the word spread, and i'll try and stick around for the first few hours.

Damnit. Worked long hours all weekend, and when I wasn't working had family events. Totally forget this was happening until right now.


Excited to listen to podcast versions to hear how it went, and thankful to all who participated (hosts and fans) and donated to a good cause.

Yeah I was playing games all weekend! god damn it Stellaris, Warthunder and Katawa Shoujo!

Wow, I am really late to this.  I blame the political season, my attention always drifts away from video games near election time.  Oh well, at least it's not too late to donate.
