Yeah, it's pretty much done. One day Re-Tail was paying extra for furniture so I knew it was time to cash in.

I've still got a huge gyroid matter to clean up in my northwest corner and I kept about 12 pieces of furniture to use whenever my citizens ask me to find them a piece of furniture for their houses. (Bloody freeloading moochers.) I'va also got a whole bunch of Gracie stuff scattered around my town square because I need to clean out my house and want to move it in there. The gyroids are to go to the museum second floor but I need to move the items from the museum to one of my storage houses. Hoarders unite!

Still, Xanadu is pretty bare compared to what it used to be. My only fear now is grass wear. I need to start laying down some sidewalks or hope for more rain.

On the plus side, I finally got Katrina's shop to open so my shop district is complete! Yes. Now I can just focus on public works to make Xanadu beautiful. But first, I must make it ugly by letting weeds grow everywhere for weeding day so that I can try to get some of the precious weeding day furniture. Oh, the many things I have to plan and account for as mayor.

Yeah, that's fine. We live in the same city. 7:00 for you is 7:00 for me.

So, shall I open my gate first? Let you have a look around?

Well, it's up to you. I've been having problems with my internet connection failing at times so who knows how a tour will go. I have your stuff lying on the ground by my train station entrance too if you just want to collect it right away. I can spend as much time as you want.

Alright. Mission accomplished. If you still need any Ranch pieces or want me to get you the stripe furniture, just ask in the Frontier Justice thread. I want this thread to die now. Moo hoo ha ha ha.

Animal Crossing is an odd game. You do (generally) whatever you feel like.

The first goal you are given in each game is to pay off the mortgage for your house. You can find various ways to earn enough Bells (the in-game currency system) to make payments - you often start out picking up and selling seashells, but can also look into growing and harvesting fruit, catching rare fish or bugs to sell, or a handful of other tasks. The trick here is that every time you pay off one mortgage, your house is automatically upgraded and a new debt given to you.

With a growing house, you'll probably want to collect different types of furniture, wallpaper and flooring, and other accessories to decorate each room. You can get furniture by shopping at Tom Nook's store, or by trading letters with friends, or by shaking trees, or somethings through other methods.

Oh, and don't forget to cultivate friendships with other creatures in your town. Some you'll probably like, others not so much. It's up to you meet each different personality and decide what kind of relationship you want to have.

Other common goals in the game are to collect different things for the museum. There are exhibits for fish, bugs, art, and fossils. Completing each exhibit is a long-term goal that will often require you to play over the course of multiple months (since some fish and bugs are only available in different seasons, for example).

And of course there are other customizations you can do. Help to decorate the town, change the exterior of your house, design new clothes to wear, etc etc.

There are no hard goals you need to complete - it's really about doing whatever you feel is most interesting. Become a Bell millionaire, or own the biggest house in town, or decorate your world to perfectly reflect your own personality. If you get bored, you can also play with a friend and exchange messages, help build something together, or find hilarious ways to troll them.

Animal Crossing is a brilliant expose on capitalism and consumerism.

Sorry you took all that time responding to a spambot, ejamer.

Don't be a (bot) hater.

I take love where I can find it, whether that's in the sweet chubby arms of Spork or from the reassuring links shared to me by my sweet talking echo chamber of a spambot.  Embrace our spammy overlords, and then one day - when we all go pure digital - they'll accept us as one of their own and we can all spam together, Ghost in the Machine style.
