Hey everybody, David O here (I did the art on the RFN shirt).

I'm working on a new project that I thought some of you might be interested in.

Having never played any of the Metroid games, I have decided to play through all of them and illustrate the whole journey. I call it The Metroid Chronicles.

Here's a link to the series if you want to check it out, tell me what you think!

Are you going to do Fusion eventually?
Need a Personal NonCitizen-Magical-Elf-Boy-Child-Game-Abused-King-Kratos-Play-Thing Crimm Unmaker-of-Worlds-Hunter-Of-Boxes
so, I don't have to edit as Much.

I like it.  A lot of the Metroid games have been covered extensively in retrospectives but I find your illustrations and humour add a distinct twist to it.

It passes the best test - I want more.  I want to see this project taken to completion and to read all of it.  I find myself somewhat annoyed that I have to wait until it's all written.  So keep up the good work!

Not bad. I'm intrigued again about the Metroid world and really want to finish Metroid 2. I think I'll play tonight.

That last joke about their life stages was hilarious. Looking forward to the rest.

I just read it. Very funny, and I like the illustrations. Yes, the Metroid "lifecycle" makes not one lick of goddamn sense. It's like Remoraid evolving into Octillery.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Excellent. Metroid 2 gets a lot of hate, but it's such a huge nuts-and-bolts improvement over the original. In fact, it's a lot closer to Super Metroid than Metroid 1. If it had a map system of any kind, it would be one of those celebrated Game Boy games. It's also a real shame that the planned DX rerelease on GBC never happened.
