THere you are again with that opinion crap. Yeah, he has the right, but he has to at least have a valid ponit. He's just spouting out crap as far as I'm concerned. If people are going to complain they should at least make a point of having a good reason for it.
That's nice, but nothing you said justifies the way you insult people mouse_clicker.  You've insulted me.  You've insulted cubedcanuck.  And you've insulted several other people over at the Zelda forum.

NOW STOP IT.  Act like a mature adult, not an immature teenager.  People are entitled to express their opinion and NOT be insulted for them.  You should attack ideas, NOT people.

You can't remove Internet Explorer?  Why not?  That's bogus.

re: Metroid.  Why would you want to play it?  It's so ridiculously primitive that it's not worth the $100 expense of Gameboy + Link Cable.  I mean, look at: Yuck:

Nintendo Gaming / Returning a new game?
« on: April 06, 2003, 10:22:02 AM »
If you put your game on ebay, you can get *almost* all your money back.  That's what I usually do.  But, this only works if the game is in awesome condition... no scratches/no dust whatsoever.

Also, stores are more lenient at Christmas time.  Just say, "It was a gift," and they'll give you store credit for almost anything.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo should pull out of the consol race.
« on: April 06, 2003, 10:12:36 AM »
No.  An old gaming company like Nintendo should not concede to a newbie like Microsoft's Xbox.  What Nintendo needs to do is be more open-minded to third-party "adult" games like Vice City or Halo.  That's what people want, so that's what Nintendo should give them.

The Original Nintendo had all kinds of violent games, and look how popular it became.  So Nintendo should return to its roots and allow violent games again.

P.S.  So Epitaph is an Xbox troll?  Figures.  Asshole.

Nintendo Gaming / Vertical Lines in Windwaker
« on: April 06, 2003, 09:26:31 AM »
Limited palette?  The GameCube is supposed to be able to display millions of colors.  Why would it be limited?

And, I played through the whole game and saw no vertical lines on my 27" TV.

Nintendo Gaming / Foolish Hylians...
« on: April 06, 2003, 09:18:48 AM »
Zelda used the light arrows, not Link in WW.  In both Ocarina and WW, the master sword was worthless unless Ganandorf was stunned, and the way he was stunned was with the light arrows.

BTW, I put on my Mask to view Ganandorf's health bar.... he has none!

True....but we were discussing the game's *difficulty* not the language.  The game's puzzles and bosses are soooo easy that it's like Nintendo targeted 10-yr-olds.

The Kokiri were transformed by the Great Tree into those little seed people.  (Sorry, forget the name.)  It's a shame that the Gerudo are extinct.  I enjoyed seeing those large-breasted women.  ;-)

I don't understand why the Goron left fire mountain.  That was their natural environment.  Also, I don't understand why the Zora were transformed to birds.  They're original sea creature state makes more sense considering they are surrounded by nothing but water!

Nintendo Gaming / A deeper meaning to a name?
« on: April 06, 2003, 08:52:51 AM »
I finished the game, and still don't know what "tetra" means, so go ahead and tell me.  I'm too stupid to figure it out on my own.  ;-)

GameCube is known as the "kiddie console" and Zelda seems to confirm it.  It's like the game was designed for a kid's level of intelligence.

Nintendo Gaming / Final Battle: BAD A$$ MO FO (SPOILERS WITHIN)
« on: April 05, 2003, 06:08:12 AM »
Ganan will break free from the stone, the same way he broke free from his alternate dimension prison after Ocarina.

My opinion on the ending:

LAME LAME LAME
The ending was totally lame. Ganan was sooooo easy to beat. All you have to do is:
- Pelt Ganan with the boomerang so he can't dodge Tetra's light arrows.
- After 3-4 hits, Zelda bounces the light arrows off your shield.
- And then you kill Ganan with ONE parry blow.

Lame! ONE blow to kill the most dangerous person in Hyrule?!? Lame, lame, lame. The Ganandorf fight in Ocarina was sooooo much better. It was actually a challenge.

And then the story's conclusion, there's about 30 seconds of happy-looking people, credits, and 30 seconds of Tetra/Link sailing off. I played 30 hours for that lame ending?!?!? Again, Ocarina's ending was sooooo much better. I guess I'm just used to Final Fantasy's 15 minute endings, and so expected more from Wind Waker.

I don't like Miyamoto's two dimension theory.  In my opinion, it's a lame star trek style way to cover plot holes.

A better explanation would be:
"Hyrule will eventually be un-flooded in some future game and the kingdom restored as seen in Link to the Past."

Miyamoto's idea does make sense though given that the "Hero of Time" statue is the adult Link.  The child Link probably never accomplished anything worthwhile.

I wonder if Link and Tetra will grow up and get married some day?  That would merge the two Triforces together

That's all I wanted: For you to acknowledge there's a plot hole.

Also I think my theory about sages being ageless makes sense.  The Earth & Wind Sages were Zora and Kokiri races... both of which have been extinct for hundreds of years.  So those two sages must also be hundreds of years old.

Nintendo Gaming / Wind Waker boring? (spoilers)
« on: April 05, 2003, 05:01:45 AM »
You're right.  And I don't really do much exploration in RPGs.  I just take the fastest route to the boss.  So I should have said, "I like RPGs for the battles."  Plot is good too, but not necessary.  I've played lots of RPGs with virtually zero plot.  (Like Final Fantasy 1 for example.)

See for me, if I want to go exploring, I hop in my car and explore the real world.  Like last summer, I drove all the way to Alaska just for fun.  Exploring in fake worlds just doesn't appeal to me.

WHAT KIND OF GAMER AM I?
The kind that likes fast-paced action and challenge.  That's why I liked the 20-minute Water The Trees sidequest.  It was fast-paced, challenging to meet the time limit, and made the heart beat faster.  It was pure fun!  (Note: I only had 2 seconds left!  Talk about cutting it close!)  I also like racing games, platformers, and simulators.
