CMPi Announces ECTS 2003 Awards

Yet another game awards ceremony for 2003.

ECTS ANNOUNCES AWARDS


July 18th 2003: CMPi today announced the launch of the ECTS 2003 Awards, with a ceremony taking place at 1500 on Thursday 28th August on a dedicated awards stage at ECTS, Earl’s Court, London.   The ECTS 2003 Awards are the ninth in a long line of successful ceremonies which will this year be hosted by the games industry’s very own ‘force’s sweetheart’ Kate Russell. Kate is a journalist, presenter and self-confessed technophile and has appeared on gamer.tv, Sky TV, LWT and the BBC as a technology reporter, as well as having contributed to a number of leading computing and technology magazines.


The ECTS 2003 Awards categories are divided between ‘Best of Year’ and ‘Best of Show’ and have been confirmed as follows:


‘BEST OF YEAR’ AWARDS


Voted for by readers or the editorial teams: Game of the Year UK, in conjunction with gamer.tv Game of the Year France, in conjunction with JDLI Game of the Year Germany, in conjunction with Gamigo.de Game of the Year Italy, in conjunction with Multiplayer.it Game of the Year Spain, in conjunction with Game Live Game of the Year Scandinavia, in conjunction with Manual

Each winner in the ECTS 2003 Awards receives not only one of the coveted ECTS ‘stars’ but also a digital awards pack containing ECTS 2003 Awards logos and images that can be used for on-pack and retail marketing.


ECTS is part of London Games Week, which runs from Monday 25th August through to Sunday 31st August inclusive, and primarily consists of:


GDCE (Games Developers Conference Europe) - 26th to 29th August ECTS - 27th to 29th August PlayStation Experience - 28th to 31st August The Develop Awards, organised by Intent Media - 27th August Games Market, a joint venture between TIGA (The Interactive Game Developers Association) and CMPi - 28th and 29th August.
