I haver alot of fun with these games now that I basically treat them like a less-involved mafia. Gotta find the right character!

I had more than a little suspicion that Spock was the bomb word. With Riker smiling, Khush was trying to tell us something. But I had such a good scenario thought up with Khushrenada taking his rightful place as a chimney sweep, that I felt it was worth the risk!

I quite agree with Khushrenada, my local chimney sweep, that Commander Riker is the best of the number twos. Besides myself, of course! I should like to meet this cultivated and exciting fellow. Whether it be in 1890s Victorian England or a 25th century alien world, I know Riker and myself would be a positive magnet for all women of discerning taste! What merry adventures we would have!

Meanwhile, I'm sure my friend Sherlock Holmes could occupy his time in deep and stimulating conversation with Mister Spock. Riker and my good self will have to content ourselves with lounging on the beach sipping Mai Tais with beautiful women. I know which pair had the better of that bargain!

Every gentleman of taste knows that Andy Richter is but a poor man's Max Weinberg!

Recently, a fellow countryman of mine, Sir Gregory James Leahy, KG, GCVO, etc. , etc., put me onto a new sport from America. He called it football. At first, I thought he meant soccer. Nothing like a manly game of assocation football, to use the full term! But what he described is more like rugby. More violent though as it seems every other game a player dies or gets permanently maimed. They'll have to cut down on that if they want to appeal to the ladies in the stands! Even the gayest ladies hat can't overcome the gloom of the grave.

Sir Gregory said the team I should follow is the Bills of Buffalo. I was there in the city, briefly, years ago. I remarked then on the delicious way they had of cooking chicken wings. Sir Gregory said they can't miss this year, so I'll probably make some unjudicious wagers. A Buffalo Bills fan am I!

Clearly, too much reliance was placed on the old man's money. It can cause so much trouble among the aristocratic class in our country. That's why second son's are often sent away. Remittance men is the term used. They're sent enough money to keep them up, but only if they stay far away from the manorial estate.

They often find their way to the American West, where I'm told they get involved in such varied activities as gold mining and dance hall girls. Quite tawdry, really. But having had experience with the ladies in many a foreign country, I could see myself falling into such ways were I a younger man. That would hardly befit an English doctor with a thriving practice in the Paddington District!

Neal, you said in the episode that you thought Breath of the WIld had outsold the rest of the Zelda series combined. I thought that wasn't right, but got me to thinking it might be close. Turned out we both way, way underestimated past Zelda game sales.

Breath of the Wild is far and away the best-selling Zelda game at 28.2 million copies (including the Wii U version), but the rest of the original Zelda games have sold 66.28 million copies. Add in the remakes that have been made over the years for an additional 27.56 million copies for a series total of 93.84 million copies (not including BOTW).

Legend of Zelda Series Sales

Good to see that Holmes's methods saw me through. I wonder what happened to Paul Simon. Never heard much from him after he split from the angelic voice of Art Garfunkel.

There may be some merit in BeautifulShy's Lakers strategy. I remember when Holmes and I helped Professor Naismith, the inventor of Basket Ball, on a particularly troublesome case. I called it "The Case of the The Missing Free-Throws". It involved a player named Shakeel O'Neal. Alas, it remains unpublished as there was no resolution. It was beyond even Holmes's powers of deduction.

Hello. My name is Watson. Dr. John H. Watson. The "H" stands for Hamish! Having had experience being Sherlock Holmes's right-hand man on three separate continents, I think I am a good judge of quality #2s. And since I've taken the lead on some imvestigations for Holmes, I think I can also spot those #2s who have the quality of a top banana. And nothing stays top fruit to me like Garfunkel. All I Know is that he's taken me through Bridges Over Troubled Water many a time!

In an alternate universe, it would have made a great Ealing comedy starring Alec Guinness!

Congrats to the mighty Khushrenada! Finally the bride, not the bridesmaid in Safe Words! I gotta let everyone know the news!

I'm so impressed by this win that I'm going to grow a mustache to commemorate the event!

Luck be a Vulcan tonight….

I told my son Bret that there are times when life is good. Money. Women. The world is your oyster!

But there are also times when you are down on your luck, alone and the world seems to be against you.

Then I gave him the best advice possible: Remember that you're a Maverick and as long as you have a good hat to wear, you can face anything and survive until the good times come along again!

When I'm sitting next to a crackling fire, I always think of Julie Andrews and  that one special night. Really! One Special Night (1999), a CBS-TV movie we made together.

So beautiful. So talented. So good to be around. Julie's a special lady. I had worked with her previously on The Americanization of Emily (1964) and Victor/Victoria (1982). We seem to make a movie about once every two decades. Getting about time again!

I played a cantankerous construction contractor and Julie was a pediatric cardiologist. They were going for an opposites attract sort of thing and it worked wonderully. Whenever I want to relive that special time, I tune into Peacock!

Can't say I'm a big fan of Apple. When you have to buy a mouse for your new computer because the one that comes with it is garbage (garbagé in French), you have to look askance at such a company. But I found out that Apple TV has my classic 1969 western comedy Support Your Local Sheriff. Nothing like a laughfest to make you forget about all the unnecessary money you're throwing away! Time to take a bite of the Apple!

You know, back in my younger years, I was big into auto racing. Did all the high speed racing for real in John Frankenheimer's Grand Prix. I did most of the driving in The Rockford Files. So what better way to spend an evening than watching the documentary I made about the time I owned a racing team? 1969's The Racing Scene. To Paramount+ we go!

I'll pick Hulu. They show my show! But only the first season, so the fans can't see my character development over six years!

I liked how in old movies you can tell how serious a situation is by the number of slaps. One slap is serious. The double slap like you see in Sergio Leone movies is an escalation.

In one of the Dracula movies that Peter Cushing starred in, there was the heretofore unseen by me triple slap! Dracula was on the loose, a maid was hysterical, Peter as Van Helsing did everything he could to calm her down and then the triple slap! He did it in the speed that most people would do just one. That's when you knew it was a life or death situation!

Well, here I sit in my Firebird munching on some bacon and egg sandwiches I got from the local diner. Who knew there would be a quality greasy spoon in the South Pacific? Rockford's my kind of place. Leave boring stuff like diving for black pearls to the Tahitians.

Looking through my binoculars with built-in microphone, I may have had my first break in the case. A character named Lord Insanity (related to Ludwig?) accused Khushrenada (the mayor, I think) of being the killer. Khush said he was joking and that there was no killer. Makes sense. This Rockford Island didn't even have a population until a few months ago so there wasn't anyone around to kill. I think I'll slide a vote Insanolord's way. Even if I'm wrong and he's not suspicious, but merely insane, beating the bushes may bring out a more promising suspect.

Looks at watch. Better call in. *beep* This is Mrs. Moseley at the library. We billed you for your overdue book, "Karate Made Easy." We abuse our library, we don't get our cards renewed! *beep* Joke's on her. That was Rocky's library card! All those karate moves I Iearned may come in handy around this creepy place. Better get in some practice before I go to bed tonight Hi-Yuh!

Hey, folks! Sorry, I'm late. My Pontiac Firebird was acting up a bit, but doing a few J-turns worked out the kinks. I've been hired to find out what's going on at New Rockford Island (no relation. Nobody in my family has money!).

The strange thing is, I don't know who hired me. It was all done by mail. Normally, I'd refuse a case with an unknown client, but I really need that $200 a day plus expenses. Maybe there's a fancy restauant I can wine and dine the locals at.

Excuse me a minute. Let me dial into my answering machine to see if the myterious client left any messages. *beep* "It's Audrey. Remember last summer at Pat's? I've got a 12 hour layover before I go to Chicago. How 'bout it?" *beep^ Sigh. Sorry, Audrey, I'm stuck on an island in the South Pacific that has weather like an island in the North Sea. No time for fun!

Umbrella Corporation. Hmmm. Why would they make ponchos way out here?
