retiring
« on: October 10, 2003, 10:30:27 AM »
has anybody noticed how many people seem to be retiring? HAL's producer, the guy from capcom, and the guy from lucasarts. Also, hasnt there been a few more employees from nintendo that "retired"? Do you think this has anything to do with nintendo's big announcement?

Its a little strange that a large quantity of top people in the Videogame business are leaving their Companies.  Maybe, (and I mean maybe) This is happening because of the lack of originality in the business as it is, and Companies have become so big, or are under pressure from stock holders not to have a bad selling game.  Maybe these former employees want to make a small company, or work in something they feel is different.

These retirees have been with their companies for a long time.  Most of them if not all have brought gaming to what it is today and we have grown up with them.  Sure it's a little sad to see them go, but that just mean there is more room for hopefully fresh brains with fresh new ideas.
