Actually E-Bay isn't all used items, you can find many brand new things on e-bay.  Stuff in demand, bought in quantitiy, from a store, and then sold at jacked up prices on E-bay, for desperate people with too much money to spend.

Its the American Way

It appears that it this was taken as a hostile takeover, and Ubisoft didn't even hear about it until the saw it on the internet

Actually its cheaper.  The Sony Memeory sticks are expensive as hell compared to SD cards.  The memory sticks are also required for game saves, which takes up some room unless you put it on another stick.  This will be soley for a/v.  Nothing with games.

A SD Card @ 1gb will run you $65 at Fry's Electronics

A Sony MS PRO @ 1gb will run you $379 at Fry's Electronics

So if you ask me....... I think there is a HUGE difference

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Sony & Nvidia to collaborate on PS3 grafix
« on: December 08, 2004, 11:34:18 AM »
Sony has hinted @ cell being in PS3, but nothing has been confirmed one way or the other

As for the $375+ million, that alot of money considering sony is in collaboration w/ NV to create this GPU, which means that Sony is covering some if not half or most of the cost of development.  That money should be nearly all profit especially if Sony were to manufacture it themselves.  (they built all those fabs for something right?)

p.s. If they were to work out their deal like N did w/ ATi, then there was also no mention of if they get a royalty off of each game sold.

I believe N gave ATi $2 per system and $.50 per game and that would tally out to a whole lotta $$$$$$$ in the end.

apparently Nvidia's stock has risen at least $2.00 after the news
& its also estimated that Nvidia is to recieve $5 per chip/PS3
If they were to sell PS3 like PS2 then that would be over $375 million

I don't know how many of you were wondering who was gonna make the grafix chip for PS3, since ATi has both Nintendo & my post is a train wreck, but now its official.

Is it 100% cell based?

What does this mean for Nvidia's next PC card?

A Nintendo Exec. did say [paraphrasing] that they would like to do a Portable GC if it became technically feasible, ie. battery and cost [/paraphrasing] - No I don't have a link nor do I remember where I saw it or who said it, but trust me I remember seeing it in a random interview somewhere.

And I know that Nintendo is always researching the next thing, constantly trying to make something more efficient and cost effective, So I am pretty sure that they have the next GB on paper at least and maybe even in protype/working concept.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Famitsu talks to Miyamoto

well they brought back Metroid, due to years upon years of fan requested/groveling/begging.

Maybe the next kicker in their plan is to bring back Kid Icarus, (remember that capcom game that was never confirmed canceled but never actually spoken of again either) they could be prepping up some major revamp of a really old school title to make its 3d debut on the Rev.

Nintendo has been trying to redo their image and one good way to start is to listen to what people(developers & consumers alike) want and react accordingly. Its worked so far for Sony.

You don't think Nintendo could make a MMORPG of Pokemon and make it actually fun indefinately?

I wasn't impressed with Mario Kart DD either, it seemed like more of the same only without some of the little things that I thought mad eMario Kart 64 fun.  they lost all the good deathmatch arenas and that certain something just wasn't there, but this isn't the place for a game review, so I won't give one.

No need to worry about battery life on DS

Its lithium ion battery is rated for 6 to 10 hours of game play and takes 4 hours to charge; we found that the battery lasted eight and a half hours during informal rundown tests.

I managed 7 1/2 hours of battery life on a single charge, playing graphics-intensive games, blasting the music through the stereo speakers and connecting online with another DS.

I think its good for SK to release one of their long indevelopment, mature rated games multi-platform, to help increase the SK fan base. That way when SK does release another Nintendo exclusive, maybe someone other that the N hardcore fanbase will take notice.

I forgot about the NV chip and all the drama surrounding that.
I was commenting about the cpu power mostly (which should be pretty damn impressive)

and I'm sure the my post is a train wreck lawers could work someting out w/ NV if they really wanted to make it happen
