After a couple of months of playing this off and on I have to say that an 8 score is WAY too high for this game. The sports selection is lacking, the controller responsiveness is worse than the Wii, and the ai is atrocious.

Some interesting choices here, but I can't argue with DQ XI S as your number 1. Although I've only played through it on PC, I can't wait to give it another go on my Switch. So much content, and a great story make it the best game I've played in a few years.

Am I the only one that was really disappointed with the demo? The attacks just feel like button mashing, and the xp made no sense to me. Granted, this is my first foray into this type of game, but isn't a demo supposed to bring in first timers?

I lurk these forums and rarely post, but I listen to all the podcasts religiously. James Jones is an absolute necessity and balance for the rest of the crew. I get the jokes, I laugh out loud at times to them. I respect his opinion on all things jrpg and enjoy his cynicism.


Frankly, I think Franky is a jerk.
