Title: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Squad Goals
Post by: Khushrenada on August 20, 2018, 04:03:46 AM
As mentioned, I am ready to take on any challenge you NWR users may want to make against me provided I have the software/tech. I know the Switch is the new hotness but if you want to go back to your Wii U's or your 3DS's for a little bit, I'm available for the challenge.

For the Wii U, options would include:

Smash Bros. Wii U
Mario Kart 8
Injustice
Sonic & All-Stars Racing
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Mario & Sonic at Sochi 2014 Olympics

Admittedly, those last four I haven't actually played before so if you want that then pick them early and I'll try and get some practice in to learn the controls. Xenoblade Chronicles X may have had some kind of online component but I never really learned how that worked and then Miiverse went away so I don't know if that exists. Don't have Splatoon so I'm not sure if there are really any other online options for games on the Wii U but if there are, mention them and we can see if I've got the game. Realizing how limited the selection is for online games makes it more interesting how Nintendo wants to now charge for it.

On the 3DS, option could be:

Smash Bros. 3DS
Mario Kart 7
Mario Golf: World Tour
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Metroid Prime: Federation Force
The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes

Obviously, those choices don't all have to be competitive. If you want to do some co-op play, I'm open to that as well. Again, if there are other online titles for the 3DS that intrigue you, you can suggest them here and I'll see if I've got them.

Also, as mentioned, if there is a website online with games like Chess, Backgammon, Battleship, whatever. Just let me know about it and we could always engage in a competition like that as well.

I'm trying to make myself available most of Saturday and Sunday. I might be unavailable a bit around noon time Sunday but, for now, pick a game and time and I will try to work my schedule around what works for everyone else to meet up.

I take it you don't have Luigi's Mansion 2?

If not, I've been wanting to get back into Metroid Prime Federation Force, so that's what I'd be interested in. I also wouldn't mind another trip through Tri Force Heroes as well, but for that we would need to have a third person. Though I may be able to provide a third if we play at the right time of day.

I do have Luigi's Mansion 2. I have yet to take it out of the package. What is the online element of that game?

I talked about creating a team and playing through Federation Force last year along with Triforce Heroes so I'm totally up for playing those games and maybe some other users would be interested in that as well. That's something I'd love to keep doing past Khushrenada Week and really play through those games now in case things change with Nintendo gearing up to charge for online in a month or so.

Hooray! The multiplayer in Luigi's Mansion 2 is called the Scarescraper. It's a tall building where a team of up to 4 Luigis take on a tower in one of three modes: Hunter (vacuum all ghosts on each floor to move on to the next), Polterpup (seek out hiding ghost dogs and vacuum them up), and Rush (find the floor exit before time runs out). There are three difficulty settings for each mode and you can choose from 5, 10, 25, and endless floors.

However, the multiplayer needs to be unlocked by playing single player first. It becomes available near the end of the first mansion. So if you'd like to play, you might want to get prepared for that by starting it up when you can and playing enough to unlock the Scarescraper. It would probably take around 45 minutes or so.

So, I've unlocked the Scarescrapper. Since I'm still quite fresh at this game, I'm not sure how good of a teammate I'll be for you but Luigi's Mansion 2 is an option if you want to meet up sometime on Saturday or Sunday to play it. Or Triforce Heroes or something else too. Just book a time and let's start getting a schedule going.

I should get my hacked 3DS triforce heroes and stream it. I don't know where to start to do that.

Though Sunday would be better, since there's a Splatfest on Saturday.
Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.
Post by: Khushrenada on August 23, 2018, 08:02:57 PM
Sure. No one has really booked anything. So, are you suggesting that if we play together in TriForce Heroes that you want to try streaming it? Would you want to try to bring in audio of us chatting together while playing it?
Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.
Post by: that Baby guy on August 23, 2018, 08:06:15 PM
I'd be up for that, but it depends on if I can manage to make sure I can get that line in on the broadcaster.

Edit:

I didn't look much, but I couldn't find a way to get my purchased copy to my hacked 3DS, so it'll be a no-go on streaming. I still like the game, though. Happy to play it some Sunday in the late afternoon/evening.

I have Smash Wii U and Mario Kart 8, and could probably make time next week? I've also got need for speed but 1.) never played it and 2.) it's EA so I'm assuming they took it offline already.

To thatguy in regards to meeting up tonight, I was talking to Mop it up about this in Discord so I'll just dump it here for you:

Mop it up: in regards to meeting up, my cousin wanted me to join him for supper tonight and go to a movie to a celebrate a work accomplishment so I wasn't going to be around this evening. I was going to inform thatguy about it as well. Since you were here I thought I'd tell you directly.

However, I do want to get together.

Steefosaurus mentioned meeting up later this week which I'm up for.

One thing I've been talking to Insanolord about is trying to have a more regular online gaming meet-up for NWR.

I think a big problem in the past is that when it's been tried, it's been scheduled for one night and a few people might show up and then that's it.

What I think needs to be done is a continuous regularly scheduled few nights/days at different times.

That way, it gives people more a chance to start making a routine or knowing that this option wil still be available on a different date instead of hoping to suddenly make a one-time rare event or hope someone is free at the same time they suddenly are.

What I'm planning on launching and proposing in the Matchmaking Forum is for meet-ups on Monday, Thursday and Friday nights. That said, I'm open to changing those around depending on what works for other users.

I feel the forum is a good place to schedule times, groups, itenerary details, etc and then we can move to Discord during such a meet-up for faster communication.

The important thing to launching it is to have a regular base for it to grow from. Whether that can happen or not these days, I guess time will tell but if you wanted to meet up this week to play along then I'd love to do that.

I've talked before about wanting to play Federation Force and Mop it up mentioned being interested in doing so. I'm going to go with that as the initial idea but that doesn't mean everyone has to play that game either. If others want to meet-up and suggest a different game for people to play them with, they can. Maybe we do Federation Force for an hour and then switch to Smash Bros. for a few rounds.

tl;dr

If anyone is interested, I'd love to get a group to meet up and play Federation Force tomorrow. I'll start a thread for it later tonight when I get back.

Hey, Mop it up. Not sure if you were still looking to meet-up tonight or not. I'm just about to get supper and was going to then watch Better Call Saul. If you did want to meet, maybe we can do the Luigi's Mansion Scarescraper thing. If that'll be too late or tonight can't work for you then that's fine too. Just let me know where you are at on this.

Perhaps we should try tomorrow night instead?

Luigi's Mansion. I'd rather do Federation Force with a full team of 4? instead of just 2 and you seemed more excited to play LM2. Continue this in Discord?

Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.
Post by: Khushrenada on September 10, 2018, 06:07:56 PM
No, I did enjoy it and would like to meet up more. I've been meaning to try and launch the NWR Gaming Club I talked about and had part of a post written up about it that I need to finish but I've let myself get distracted with Safe Words and just playing some other stuff along with LM2 but I'm ready to meet up and do some more Scarescrapping. Just list a time you are free to meet. We'll see what new errors and glitches we can encounter.

I hope you had fun despite the mishaps.

Are you dead set on playing Metroid Prime Federation Farce with 4 players, or would you try it with 3? My friend has that game too so we could do 3 with no problem. We would just have to be able to start early enough in the evening (like 7-8pm here).
Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.
Post by: Khushrenada on September 17, 2018, 01:41:23 AM
Not dead set on it but if it can be arranged, I'd like to try and do it that way. I know when I brought it up last year a couple people were interested like Stratos and Fatty the Hutt. Let me try and launch the NWR Gaming Club first and see if that gets some more interest.

I'm interested in picking up Federation Farce so I'd be down for that.

Going to be honest. I've put in more time with the Luigi's Mansion Scarescrapers to try and get more of the ghosts captured and I've become pretty bored with the mode at this point. I'm ready for Federation Force.

If pokepal is in and you've still got your friend then let's get into that next week. Can't this weekend. I'm going away to visit family but if this coming Tuesday evening works for people then we could start at that time or if people want to get into tonight then we could wet our appetite for the game a bit sooner.

Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.

To collect the ghosts faster. I got sick of dropped connections (so we'll see how Federation Force goes) and just started playing the Scarescrapers in local play by myself. I'd do a 25 story Scarescrapper and then quit after the 20th floor which is the last new boss ghost I could encounter. The 25th will always be the Brain Poltergust at the roof of the Scarescrapper. I've done this a few times.

Tried doing Endless but couldn't consistently get past the 5th floor 1st boss so I've just stuck with the Normal 25 Hunter mode as I can efficiently level up and conquer through. Playing with other people means you aren't always the one to suck up the boss ghost which I felt could be frustrating if trying to collect certain ghosts so I decided to cut out all other participants to prevent that. I've still got a little under half to go but it's made me a bit bored with the whole mode and process now.

That isn't how it works. The whole team gets the ghost regardless of which one actually sucked it up at the end.

Oh, really? I guess all the dropped or failed connections might have been a factor in losing the data of some ghosts captured but it felt like there were times I thought and expected to see a ghost collected and it wasn't there so I thought that might have been the reason why.

Federation Force - Mop it up, Mop it up's friend?, Khushrenada, Pokepal148 - Tuesday

Triforce Heroes - ejamer, Khushrenada, Mop it up - Thursday

Just needed to get that straight as a reference point.

Probably depends on what we hear from Mop it up but usually she's ready to start around 8:00 PM EST which is a couple hours. Not sure if we'll have to friend code swap with her friend (Terra) if she is also joining us but Mop may know these details already. Once we get Mop's input, we should be able to get things set-up.

It might be a good idea to get the 5 consecutive victories in Challenge Mode of Blast Ball. That gets us a bunch of experience with the game's ball physics that will transfer over to our standard multiplayer hijinks and it will give us the Hyper Mod which is an unbreakable mod that boosts the power of charge shots by 100% and removes the speed decrease while charging when you're at full health (and we don't have to worry about losing it when we need to restart a mission).

Mario Kart 7 online. Your play is pretty expert at that and there were other things I picked up and learned while playing with you.

Luigi's Mansion 2 - You have played that online mode a heck of a lot as seen by your having the three E. Gadd medals and you are definitely an expert at it.

TriForce Heroes - I believe you've got all the costumes and have completed all 128 challenges and medals, no? That makes you the expert while playing with ejamer and myself.

Federation Force - You're weakest showing so far in playing with you online in that you haven't got all the mission medals although you have completed the game and gone through all the missions. Compared to pokepal and me who were just starting the game for the first time, you were still more of an expert at it than us. Now it has been revealed that you don't really know the Blast Ball mode so it continues to allow poke and myself some chance to catch up to your level for once.
Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.
Post by: Mop it up on October 17, 2018, 08:32:43 PM
What are you talking about? I don't even use Metal Mario, nor the Red Monster wheels or Dasher kart. What kind of expert is that?

Finding the ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 2 multiplayer is just luck of the draw that they appear.

Actually, NOPE! I checked the chart in Tri Force Heroes and there are 6 challenges left for me. All in world 8. By that time the game was about dead and it was tough to find someone competent enough to complete those. Or just someone not a troll. I also don't yet have the costume for completing the challenge gauntlet, the name of which escapes me at this time. It was added in a later update and the online community died quickly, so once again I couldn't find people patient enough to complete it. I also had just 26 single player medals, I gave it a good try but felt it was too boring.

I don't think completing a game is enough to make one an expert.

I s'pose I should probably just accept it as a compliment, hee hee. But sometimes I wonder if you've seen a real expert, then you'd see just how n00by I am at games.

So, I played single player in Federation Force for the first time yesterday. Mainly just to try Mission 6 and sure enough, got that mission complete with all medals like Pokepal148 theorized of it being very easy to do in single player. Frankly, I still like the idea and difficulty of 4 people trying to pull it off but whatever. Didn't try 4 or 7 on my own to see if that could be pulled off in Single as well but maybe later on I will. Still, that is just two missions now of the first twelve that need to be completed.

As we retry M13, I think it will help if we do have the full crew of 4 but what I also noticed near the end of our second attempt is that the architec balls would move around a bit on their own stopping usually at some doorways. Most of the level is composed of various loops. Thus, if we split into teams of two and each go on different sides of a loop to a doorway than the ball will have to head towards one of our pairs where we can shoot it down and catch it instead of chasing and chasing it down hallways or hoping to shoot it down by surprise.

It's alright. It was an off night in general. I had the disconnect problems which slowed progress earlier with Pokepal and then I had to take a break to do some other things. We all had our troubles with M16 so I'm not upset with anyone or blaming anyone about it. We still did make some progress in the game and every little bit helps.

I finally got around to soloing M06 for the medals and I curbstomped the hell out of it without even trying. I've also been playing ahead again, that's been fun.

Edit: Khush, I challenge you to solo M20 and get 3 medals on it like I did.

Why are we now playing this solo? I wanted to play this game in 4 player multiplayer like it was designed to be. I can play solo when the servers are dead.

I'm guessing you finished the game then since I think there are around 21 missions altogether. You still up for meeting to do online play?

We? I'm not playing in solo. The only thing I did in solo was the stealth one since it was easy.

Perhaps now you know how I felt when you played Luigi's Mansion 2's multiplayer on your own. ;)

Mission 21 is a bitch to deal with in solo. I just scouted ahead so I could unlock hard mode and hopefully farm some good mods out of that but Mission 21 actively conspires to be a massive pain in the ass to solo and is extremely tedious so that plan is out the window unless I can farm mods out of Mission 20. Also the way the narrative is set up there is at least one more mission past mission 21

I only 3 medale mission 20 because when I cleared it the first time I was literally 2000 points away from the third medal. Like mission 21, mission 20 actively conspires to be a pain to do solo, the difference is that mission 20 is honestly one of the best missions in the game while mission 21 is really tedious and unfun to do alone.

Also, for another mission that was easy to do Solo and get 3 medals for, mission 13, basically as long as you bring the 3 drones they'll do all the work and you just have to fight off the pirates. I literally got it the first try because I figured I could buff the drones with mods and they'd fight off the pirates for me but it wound up going the other way around.

Then I may try M13 like that since I'm really not enthused about playing that one again. Part of me is proud that we managed to finish that mission as a two-man crew despite the difficulties and set-backs we endured in it. But that 26 minutes felt a lot longer and near the end once we were both fighting low health, I was fearing we were going to go down despite being close and the 1 orb away from completing the mission. I'd laugh if there was no change in that mission for Hard Mode. It's already difficult enough.

Post by: pokepal148 on October 28, 2018, 12:29:51 PM
Yeah mission 22 is definitely the last mission in the game.

It's also a huge pain to deal with. That final boss man.

Edit: Beat it, apparently Hard Mode unlocks all of the stages at once so we can go beat our heads against the ice titans twice as many times in a row if we want.

I'm too busy farming a **** ton of mods on hard mode mission 12. Just grab the mods and let the giant beetle monster kill you. It's great fun.

What do you need all the mods for? (Although this confirms you have now beat the game and continued progressing ahead on your own.)
Title: Re: You vs Khushrenada 2: The Revenge! Gold Edition.
Post by: pokepal148 on October 29, 2018, 03:13:09 AM
Because why not. You get like 6 of them in a 2-3 minute run. I might as well rack up a bunch of them and maybe have a copy of each mod.

Besides I must avenge the loss of my split warheads mod even though I already have two of the exact same mod from the exact same boss that stole it from me in the first place. :ph:

Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday but I ended up being busy last night anyways.

As it stands, I'm not sure FF is going to work tonight. I've got to go out and won't be home until close to 10 PM EST. I can meet and play with you and Poke then but I think there won't be much time for Terra at that point. So, we could just do TH later but not Mop it up has suddenly offered to play with Stratos tonight so I don't know what her plan is.
Title: Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Squad Goals

Since no one had posted yet today then I figured I could keep my options open. Plus, Stratos is in an earlier timezone so if he shows up it'll probably be late and maybe someone would have been ready to call it a night.

So, are we doing the usual Thursday meet-up of FF?

I've done a bit of single player to try and farm some mods. There's still at least 12 mods or so that I've yet to acquire though. I tried pokepal's method of playing the M12 on Hard to quickly farm them and I was able to acquire a few nice ones but I've still yet to see a split- missile mod appear. When I played M12, I didn't know where the mods were and thought they might come from blasting away at the boss and having them launch towards you for the damage you caused like in M18 where blasting the enemies to protect the drill results in various mods coming to the top of the drill. But this was the incorrect method to acquire them. There's three caves with two mods per cave and that's where you get them. However, my attack on the giant beetle was so effective that I took it down well within time and before 200 meters getting the bonus objective. Yet, I was 1000 points shy of getting three medals. So, after collecting mods for awhile, I later refought the boss and got the third medal.

Thinking about what else I may accomplish in Hard Mode, I decided to try M6 which has you out of you mech to destroy the force field. I already had gotten the three medals in Normal Solo like pokepal did and suggested so I tried in Hard and there seemed to be no difference in difficulty. I also was able to three medal it although I had to play it twice because I was about 1000 points shy again the first time I did. I then decided to try M20 in Normal Solo since pokepal had mentioned getting three medals in that one himself already. Like the M6 mission, M20 is easier to do in solo for accomplishing the bonus objective of not getting harmed while out of the mech. All you have to do is just get through the first fireball maze with no damage which is easy and then you are back in your mech for the rest. In team play, you've got people out of their mechs for a lot more of the level leading to more chances of getting harmed. It's fun to be able to go further in the level out of one's mech but if you want to speed up the process of getting all the medals then solo is probably the way to go.

This means that I only require 1 medal left in Normal Mode which is the third medal of M21. To my knowledge, pokepal still needs that last medal also. I believe this means that Mop it up will be three medals behind as she has not done M6, M13, or M20 solo to acquire those last three medals in each of those missions. We can try and do them in team but I really do recommend M6 and M20 done solo to speed up that process. M13 and it's no damage from gas requirement makes that easier in solo even though hunting the architect globes can be a pain. Likewise, I recommend Mop pass that info on to Terra if she is looking to get more medals for her file as well instead of waiting to play them in an online squad.

I guess the Hard Medals are supposed to be platinum (although they look a lot like silver too) but the color is disappointing since they look a lot like the grey non-medals that show when you've already acquired some of the medals in a mission. Wish they had just keep them gold or done a bright diamond instead.

Perhaps Mop can provide a list of the normal missions she needs three medals in (although I'm pretty sure that list is M6, M13, M20 and M21 at this point) and a list from Terra of the missions she still needs all the medals in. What I'm thinking is that we complete M20 and then start Hard Mode and stay on the same page in Hard Mode. When we come to a mission that Terra needs, we do it in Hard first and then go back and play it in Normal. My hope is that be getting it done right in Hard, it should be easy for us to go back to Normal then and three medal it in one shot there since we'd hopefully have a system and could just redo what we did in Hard to speed things along rather than go through it in Normal again for awhile and then maybe having to do it a few times over again later in Hard.

Thoughts?

If pokepal148 isn't available, do you want to play Tri Force Heroes instead?

I already completed M6 solo back when we first talked about it, but not the others. I remember you pondering the idea that you liked the challenge of completing those missions with four players and thought that's what you might want to try, like we did with M7 which was also probably easier in solo. So I left that option open for you.
Title: Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Squad Goals
Post by: Khushrenada on November 15, 2018, 03:49:37 PM
Sure. Let's do some Tri.

The idea of overcoming the odds and succeeding as a team would be a nice feeling but as all the replays of M16 and the skiff mission made clear, if it means having to replay a mission over and over until we finally get it right then that can be more of a drag and kill the fun. Sometimes it is best just to take the easy path even if it may not be the most exciting.

I'm curious about how you defeated the giant golem thing in M20 within the time limit. My method was to use the Ice Beam and the Super Missile on it. With the lone wolf mod and the damage boost from freezing it beforehand the Super Missile will Oneshot it.

Same. I had Lone Wolf, 30% chance of Aux Ammo being replenished, and 30% more powerful charge and power shot. Brought ice so that I could break a few fire walls to get mods and freeze the golem. One Super missile took care of it so that seemed like the most effective method. Having played the mission as a team with you, I knew about it so I was bringing the super missile with me. I just had to get faster in some other parts of it to get within the time limit.

That's weird. Time was my only issue. I always had enough points. I almost got the first two medals just from my points alone. Needed to blast more boulders and pirates, I guess.

I'm sorry things didn't go better last night, but at least we completed one of the missions!

So, what are your thoughts on that last mission? Did you still want to try again sometime, or would you rather just round it out in single player? Terra doesn't want to play any more, so it would just be the three of us if we go back to it.
Title: Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Squad Goals
Post by: pokepal148 on January 18, 2019, 11:51:18 PM
The bonus for not using the lone wolf mod is 10,000 points so you just have to survive the mission with 4 titans, make it in the time limit, and the points from the enemies should be enough to 3 medal it.

If you die the mission is over so we don't have to worry about losing points that way.
Title: Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Squad Goals
Post by: Khushrenada on January 19, 2019, 02:53:12 AM
Hahaha. We killed her enthusiasm for the game. Way to go Ice Titans! This is why Federation Force got such low scores and hatred.

Yeah, I just finally beat it today. But it took a bloody long time. Probably 4 hours. I tried for an hour here and there and set it aside after getting frustrated but finally finished it now. I don't know how many times I died while trying to cage my last Titan. The worst was in the first hour I was playing this, I don't know what skill level I was tapping into but I actually caged 4 titans in 2 cages and still had three minutes. I wondered if I should leave but thought I'd get one more since I had the time. Got the fifth titan in a cage and threw out a Samus decoy to occupy it. Left the cage as the door was closing behind. Was turning to keep my eye on the titan and got hit by its purple ground pound blast as I did that. Lost the mission. I was upset and kicking myself at being that close to wrapping it up. I wondered if I should have bailed on 4 and seen if that would have done it yet I didn't want to find out I was low while having had the time to get one more.

Anyways, couldn't catch titans as good as that the more I played so I started going for one at a time in cages and even then I kept going down while trying to corral that last one. It's so hard trying to manage the doors and watch out on the titans actions. Yet, in the end, when I finally succeeded, I did still capture 5. Go figure. It's true that you get 10000 for not using Lone Wolf and then you get 10000 for the time. It's pretty easy to get 2000 points from enemies and other score triggers. I was pretty much getting that just from taking out the opening animal enemies and then the gunship with pirates.

I just find it odd that my file shows only a 94% completion rate despite getting all medals and paint jobs unlocked now. I wondered if it had to do with the mods and I know there is at least 5 unique mods I didn't have in my possession yet. So, I decided to try and farm mods briefly at the H12 mission. Did three runs and on my third run, I finally got the split warhead mod for myself so that's something. Left to check my percentage and it was still at 94%. Finally just looked it up online and it turns out I need to do more Blast Ball to get the 100%. Not sure if I'm going to bother yet or not but I'm thinking I might give it a couple tries to see what happens. In any case, I'm ready to wrap things up on Fed Force. Missions are all complete and that's the main thing I wanted to get done with a group and play.

Blast Ball might be fun to come back to sometime but probably not right now.

I guess that means the answer is that you'd rather finish the game in single player! Oh well, I'm sorry to end on a sour note, but it's been fun to dust off these old games and play through again. I hope you had fun too! Congrats on clearing everything.

Terra might be willing to come back for Blast Ball sometime since she never did much of that. How do you earn the stuff from the mode? Would we actually have to hope other human players appear, or would it work if the other team fills with bots?

I tested out Blast Ball on my own the two days after our last play session. I did the challenge mode and I couldn't win it on my own with two bots. The best I did was got to the fourth round of the five but couldn't even crack the fifth round once. Most often losing in the second third round. It was hard for us three to complete the challenge mode once but it was also the first time for pokepal148 and myself when we played it to get that unbreakable mod. With more practice under me and with two other human players then it may help get through the challenge mode more often. Probably still be tough and times that we lose because of certain factors like the green eject powerup or that stupid volleyball that the opposing bots always seem to score with. Even in my single player attempts, my team didn't get a single goal when that accursed thing showed up. I don't remember a magma ball showing up when we played but that is something that appeared a couple times when playing on my own which was a new surprise. Did fine with that particular variation.

So, yes, I'd be down for Blast Ball with you and Terra if you want to try that mode out for awhile. There are 15 paint jobs that you can unlock which are specifically used in Blast Ball. I don't know what the wisdom is in having separate paint jobs for the two areas of play as I'd like to rock the Ridley paint job I have in campaign but them's the breaks. Gamespot lists the requirements for unlocking the paint jobs which can be found here. (https://www.gamespot.com/metroid-prime-blast-ball/cheats/) The toughest thing is to beat the Challenge mode 10 times. By the time we do that, there's a good chance we'd get all the other requirements. I think I've got about half the paint jobs already just from our time playing and maybe 4 hours on my own attempting the Challenge mode. I'm sure it will get frustrating and it is probably not something we'd want to play for three hours but I'd be done for playing it for an hour here and there. If we could at least beat Challenge mode once every time we played that would be about 9-10 play sessions depending on if we need to get Terra one more which we already have from our first time beating that mode. Perhaps we sort of rotate. Play Blast Ball for an hour then play something else for an hour or so and even something after that.

There's really nothing else that Blast Ball does or has to offer at doing well in it besides these separate paint jobs and being able to have 100% on the save file. Although, there were a couple times it awarded me a mod for campaign use so maybe one would get lucky and acquire a mod they don't have for campaign mode. Still, it's kind of crazy and chaotic with some different elements of strategy that I'm willing to spend a bit more time on it with a human squad at least.
