Ditto on store pick up next time. Was supposed to have gotten it today, but the mail carrier must have been too lazy to get out the truck & walk to my front door because they claimed a failed delivery attempt.

Battle Arena Toshinden on GB/GBC - Knew I liked Takara's take on Game Boy fighting games after Samurai Shodown, but I thought they kicked it up a notch here. Pretty sure I played it more than the original PSX game my brother had.

Castlevania Legends - Another GB/GBC standout for me. Though it might just be because it was made after Symphony of the Night, yet it wasn't a metroidvania. Sometimes I just want to whip my way from point A to point B without having to backtrack.

Oh, & Kirby's Star Stacker. Everyone I let play it told me it was boring & both Tetris & Yoshi were better, yet I got addicted to it.

Did Timespinner ever get a Switch release? I just remembered backing it, but I got it on Steam.

As bland as Mighty No.9 was I'm still glad I backed it. If only for the Mighty Gunvolt spinoffs. Those are solid.

I still bring mine along for car & doc waiting rooms. Monster Hunter 4U's online seemed alive & well last time I peeked into it. Though that was a month or so before Rise launched.

Assault Android Cactus(PC)

Finally took out the final boss after a year or so of trial, error, & procrastination. Easily one of my fav twin-shooters. Not sure if I'll commit myself to getting an S+ Rank on every single stage or even bother with the new campaign+, but I may chase a few achievements between making sure I stay on top of my friends leaderboard.

Now if only I can get Steam's Remote Play Together working so I can try co-op...

Nice! The last boss is so difficult without the Shotgun character. Really cool game, I was best with Starch (laser + homing missiles) most of the game, but couldn't do the last boss with Starch. Wanna say Coral was the slow Shotgun class right?

Yeah, that's her. I used Lemon(spreader gun) for the majority of the game, including the final boss. I actually needed Coral to defeat that security boss, Judge.

Think Mop it Up summed up why Ogre Battle 64 shouldn't be for everyone pretty well in the comments. It's not exactly a casual RPG.

I wish listed Ogre Battle 64 but never committed to trying it again. Though between the difficulty spikes & how easy it was to have your fav soldiers turn into zombies, the VC saving might be a plus when it comes to fixing screw-ups.

It's a definite maybe. I really want to give the motion controls a go & like Spak-Spang I also hope there's some sorta normal golfing option.

We got Peach & Daisy so I'm happy.

Graphically, this looks great, but I'm hella trash at tactics games so I will pass. I bought Octopath Traveler then barely played it. I'll go back and actually finis... haha, no, I won't. What's wrong with me?

Kinda in the same boat. Had tried the demo & ended up quitting mid-battle as I felt I was taking way too long. I know one gripe I have is the turns are by character initiative which frustrates me a bit. Especially when similar looking enemies have the same profile pic in the order tab & I'm not sure who to focus on. I prefer the old school player turn/enemy turn.

If 3D World's online multiplayer is remotely functional than I'd say it's one of the more substantial Switch ports.

That might tempt me. I have the original but never got around to finishing it. Online co-op could help me along.

Just Mario Kart 8 from the WiiU.

Had bought Zombie Panic in Wonderland thinking it was a Wii port but turns out it's the PSP port(no motion controls).

I might have forced myself to try this one out if it had online. Heck, if it were a free to play online game I may have slowly got hooked & bought some DLC skins/customizable items depending on how active the community was.

Total number of games played: 25

Most played games by hours: Dauntless, Volta-X, Oninaki, Hardcore Mecha, Streets of Rage 4

Most active day by hrs: Jan 17

Total My Nintendo gold earned: 1226

Does Donkey Kong on Intellivision count? If not then probably the arcade version of Donkey Kong jr. I remember I used to go to a dentist as a kid where that & Popeye were set on free play.

I still want to get my hands on Super Castlevania IV on WiiU but there's a chance it'll be a waste of money if it ends up on the Switch for free.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (WiiU)
[...]
My biggest gripe might be that last dungeon was driving me nuts. Maybe I've been away from 2D platformers for too long, but I had more trouble getting to the final boss than actually beating 'em.

Yeah the final dungeon is an absurd difficulty spike. The final boss is way cooler if you collect all the bats, too, but I never bothered going for it since the prospect of going through that dungeon again was too daunting. There was no easy teleport straight to the final boss either right?

If there was, I never used it. I stocked up on recovery items so beat the final boss on my first go around.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (WiiU)

After hearing about the new Shantae coming out I'd figure I'd take a step into the ol' backlog & finish this one up. I hear this one's considered one of the best of the series though I'm not as sure for now so I'll call it a tie with Risky's Revenge. My biggest gripe might be that last dungeon was driving me nuts. Maybe I've been away from 2D platformers for too long, but I had more trouble getting to the final boss than actually beating 'em.

Final rundown:
playtime: 9hours 26mins
heart squids: 25/32
dark magic: 12/20

Usually I don't bother to 100% things but if I try Pirate mode, who knows.

Oninaki - Switch

It's uhh something of a mixed bag. Not sure if it's the odd pacing of the writing or what but I keep getting the feeling that this game came out before it should have. The gameplay isn't terrible once you find your favorite daemons/attacks & grind their levels a bit. Heck, once I got my fav (Zaav) to around level 5 or 6 he becomes OP when manifesting against bosses at 200% affinity.

As for the ending? Might be one of the most disappointing endings I ever got. Looked online & the other ones don't look much better. Can't say I feel the desire to 100% things at the moment but I did unlock all of Zaav's memories at least. Found the backstories of your daemons more interesting than the main plot myself so if I do jump back in it'll be to unlock a few others.

And yet he kept Wrestlemania going when the smart thing would have been to delay that for now.

I'm curious if GK thought ShyGuy and I were the ones with the roles and that's why he went for us first. In some ways it sort of worked out for him, as I definitely would have been pushing to take him out instead of Luigi Dude on that day. Of the three I thought him most likely to be Dark Samus.

Nah. You two were just kinda random picks honestly. Shyguy simply because I recalled he survived day 1 despite me voting for him. By the time I picked you I had already assumed I wasn't going to win this thing & was sticking it out in hopes of playing spoiler for Kraid since Samus was already out.

My MVP goes to Steef. Fav in-character poster. I was using his AI-suggestions as a voting Waze app a few times. I only targeted him at the last second because I was taking a "scorched earth" approach to my exit.

Since he voted for me.

Wait... how am I too quiet when there are people still alive who haven't posted in days?

out of the possible suspects we have left now you are one of the most quiet.

Hey, what can I say? I'm not super chatty. Eh. You know what. Countering you just to counter vote you feels like BS.

Starting to think people intentional want to point fingers en masse just to bringing Kraid back again & again.
