Was thinking of making him my next unlock but went with Zhin instead.

Yeah, I'll be around for sure.

I just pck those roles because I'm a lousy shot. Though I've been slowly trying other roles too.

We already have each other added. We actually played a few rounds of Splatoon 2 way back. My username's Liger Mask these days.

Nah I can never think of anything meaningful to say so I usually ignore the server. But sounds like a good idea for talking strategy or venting after loses.

Only ever did a single placement game but yeah, it does take a while to get started.

Mainly on weekday mornings where I'm killing time by doing some quests, but I'm sure I can find some time for weekends. I'm usually healing or front line so if you need a pocket healer or a bullet sponge on top of the objective, I'm game.

Just a heads up for any potential competitive players. Tried competitive mode for the first time & discovered to my horror that you're locked in first-person view. Might not bother some players, but if you're like me & prefer 3rd person over first it's crippling.

Gonna shout out the WiiWare version of Zombie Panic in Wonderland here. Yeah, there's a 3DS version too, but when it comes to shooting on rails, the Wii remote rocks.

edit: Aw crap. Just realized I already mentioned this months ago.

Got mine the other day. Still trying to get a feel for the controls as I've been using the Wii Remote with Nunchuck for the last two Smash games. Been going back & forth between the Switch Pro & Joycons in opposite hands to simulate the remote/nunchuck feel(I'm left-handed so the nunchuck was in my right).

I miss shake smashing...  :'(

Been giving it a go recently. Reminds me of Overwatch but the differences put it ahead in my opinion. I've never been really good at FPS games with gyro aiming with a 3rd person view helps a lot.

As of now, a few characters are available at the start(Ruckus being my fav) & others you can try as they rotate in & out every couple of days. Suprised that after 2 weeks I was able to buy-unlock 2 characters using just the in game currency you earn while playing.

Been bouncing back & forth between Timespinner & Beat Hazard 2(both on Steam) lately.

For a Metroidvania, I don't find Timespinner all that hard. Maybe if I were into achievement hunting I might find trouble. I've just been sidetracking on side quests before marching up to the Emperor.

Beat Hazard 2 is fun & all but I didn't try the first game until after Shadow Missions was added so it feels a bit bare bones to me at the moment. Still, getting #1 ranked in the world on obscure anime songs I found on Youtube hasn't gotten dull yet.

Wouldn't mind seeing an Urban Champ stage if we can't get a fighter.

Wanna see another Pokemon trainer myself. Like Rival countering the original with Bulbasaur/Charmeleon/Blastoise or a trainer from later games using 3 newer Pokemon.

Yeah, that's the one. The site for it -still- says "coming soon".

Is '90's Super GP Racing officially considered vaporware now? It's been in development since it was announced for the WiiU...

Wait. It's even less fun than the original's? I couldn't bring myself to finish that one...

Yeah, aside from playing with a full lobby of friends, there's really no getting around it.

I thought switching to ranked would be an escape but between playing with teammates that don't seem to no that you have to be on the tower to make it move & the one guy that brought the Rainmaker back to our own base,  eh. At least with Turf War I don't have to watch in dismay as my B slowly turns back into a C.

Think I have enough GC controllers for now. Though I preferred N64 controller & then the Wiimote/Nunchuck so the GC controls will probably be for guests while I give the Switch Pro a try.

I see what you mean. I wanna say there's potential for a crossover down the line if it does well but...aren't humans extinct in Splatoon's lore?

+1 on the Armored Core vibe
Here's hoping. Also I wouldn't mind a heavy metal soundtrack like in the trailer.

Not sure if that makes me wanna get back into Splatoon 2 or extend my hiatus. Still enraged after that TMNT double splatfest period.

May have to add some amiibo though...Using the two inklings I have now for saved outfits in Splatoon 2.

I was curious about the original but never got around to it. May have to give this one a spin.

So changing my nickname there to GK probably wouldn't help, huh?

I tried getting friends to get into Diddy Kong Racing but the response was typically "Put Mario Kart back in".

I wouldn't mind a 4 player rail shooter/racer where everyone was competing for the high score instead of just crossing a finish line first(I guess crossing first could award a bonus). Would be like an expanded take on that Super Weekend edition of the original.

121
Haven't finished 4U yet so I'll probably let this one slip by. Unless you have a regular group to hunt & gear grind with, guild quests becomes a frustrating chore.

Is there a NWR Discord Server? I haven't talked to you guys in a game since Monster Hunter Tri...

Yes, there is. Just click on this NWR Discord article link to get the invite needed to join.

Thank you!

The only thing I really hate is that there is still no text messaging to my friends! When I play Pokken and see my friends online there are no lobbies, so its impossible to see what they are doing and I can't invite them to our private groups.

I just want to tell people that I'm playing X, join me.

I hate voice chat as well so I'm certainly not going to do it with the dumb phone app. I liked chatting with you guys over the years but other random people I meet online seem to have only a high level of gaming skill with an equally low level of social skills.

Yeah as it stands now a friend may jump into a Splatoon 2 lobby I'm in if there's an opening. I wouldn't mind a "join friend's lobby" message popping up post-game so we can meet up.

Over the past 17 years I never even got past level 3 haha.
