There is only one reason he is doing it. He knows he is going to get laid.

The hole in the back of his hat in the second comic looks like his mind got blown out the back of his head from eating a bullet.

Well I'll be! I just read through all of them, but it's too bad they only did 16. I would have liked to see how the series evolved over time.

Don't worry, you're not blind, his hat IS on fire! I don't think him having "his mind blown out of the back of his head from eating a bullet" like oohhboy suggested would be good for the continuity of the series.
