Luigi Dude is that your actual twitch channel that Bungle linked?

No I don't have a Twitch channel myself.  I've thought about making one but I just don't have the time and energy to devote to something like that right now.

Okay.   I saw a few channels on there with your name. Thought they were you.  Good to know.

Interesting. For some reason I had you pegged as a Kelly.

That's actually somewhat accurate to my real life. :'(

You'll be sorry once my plan comes together.

Also, I chose Twitch that round and I'm pretty sure Creed would know all about Twitch lingo and girl streamers so I definitely think that would have further made for a better match.

Awww no! Luigi Dude is out? Ah, darn. Him and I were trying to hang with a couple of the big dogs in Safe Words here at the end. I was hoping that he could get through the round and I could as well to force out one of these ace players and we see a new winner this game but now either Mop it up or Insanolord will get the opportunity for another victory.

Why do I get the feeling this game is going to come down to the guy who seems to have every streaming service versus the guy who has none? Welp, better do the smart thing now and reach out to Mop it up to form an alliance for this round to try knocking out Insanolord. Are we really going to let him be the first back-to-back Safe Words winner? If Lucario couldn't do it, I don't see why he should be able to do it.  ;)

Let's work together on choosing the next bomb word and hope we can select the right thing to knock Insanolord out in a 50/50 guess. :evil;

As we learned in the last round, Luigi Dude is actually a Luigi Bot, and due to some policies with HR unable to continue on in this focus group. We are now ready to begin the next round and Khushrenada is up first. The question for you is which streaming service has the best customer service?

Hoo boy.

It’s come to this.

I’ve been dreading this round for awhile.  :(  Pretty sure I can win this if I can get to the Final Round but I just can’t get a handle on what is best to choose. The problem for me is that Mop it up sniped Luigi Dude and it has made me very uncertain now what she may choose for another bomb word especially with some of my comments from before.  :-X

She selected the last word in the rotation with Twitch. Would she now repeat that strategy with Paramount+? Or would she select from a different spot? There are two services beginning with A which makes Paramount the sort of odd man out with it’s P letter. Would that draw her eye to select it as the bomb word?  :-\

Perhaps she goes opposite and selects the top choice of Amazon for this round after selecting the bottom choice last time. Would Amazon Prime Video stick out as the longest word choice available? So far, it is the only one that we haven’t heard Insanolord claim he is subscribed to so if she is hoping to stop Insanolord then selecting it would have a low chance of Insanolord choosing it. At the same time, she never responded to my offer of an alliance and telling me what choice she selected as the bomb word so maybe she wants to target me instead!!  >:( >:(

Therefore, it would seem like the middle choice of Apple TV would be the best bet to avoid that possible outwitting of first and last selections. When I used a random number generator to remove emotion from the equation, the first result given was number 2 right in the middle. Apple TV seems to have been a boring choice this game with few people selecting it. Will that boringness have caused Mop it up to skip over it when selecting a bomb word or would she have still been drawn to that middle selection like the sugar filling of an Oreo?  ???

Decisions, decisions, and all of them wrong…  :P

Just went back through the game and wouldn’t you know it? Mop it up has selected each of these choices once in the game before as a safe word so I can’t figure out any possible bias there.

Things were going so well this game. All my time hosting and observing behaviors was paying off up to this point. Unfortunately, there is very little data for this type of situation. Wouldn’t you know it? We're still encountering rare occurrences in this game. Just when you think you've seen it all...

The random number generator says 2, my initial instinct was to select 1 but I guess I’m going to hope that Mop it up pulled a MASB (and I can explain that after this round is over) and disregard all that to select Paramount+. I hate selecting it because it’s responsible for the worst Star Trek series ever but sometimes you got to select a crappy option to win this game.

Luck be a Vulcan tonight….

Whether Khushrenada has questions about bundling Paramount+ with SHOWTIME or is cancelling his Paramount+ subscription because of the latest Star Trek, there is always a Paramount customer service rep there to make him feel safe.

With the remaining two options, I am curious what NWR_insanolord thinks is the streaming service with the best customer service?

Paramount+ was going to be my choice since I just started watching Star Trek: Lower Decks which I'm enjoying, but Khush had to ruin that with his negativity. I suppose I'll have to settle for the home of the best non-Star Trek sci-fi show, The Expanse, on Amazon Prime Video.

Most of us get the notion to do something great when we are young. When there is a combination of morality and rebelliousness, these aspirations often lead to visions of corporate sabotage. For Dawn, it was just a matter of time until the opportunity presented itself. While walking downtown one day she tried to use her older model phone only to realize that the apps would no longer work since it could not update to the new iOS.
Overhearing her predicament, a bungling activist tabling nearby offered some insight.

"Planned obsolescence", they said "Apple makes older phones obsolete so you will buy a new one". Intrigued, Dawn spoke to the activist and found there was a whole suit of complaints to wager against the tech giant. "So not only are they contributing to environmental destruction, but there are allegations of child labor, somebody has to do something?". When the activist offered Dawn a chance to make a real difference, it came with a serious warning that if she were caught there could be serious consequences. After rolling her trusty dice and getting their blessing, she accepted the offer and said "the dice have decided". As she started on her mission thoughts began to race through her mind. Just drop this hacked phone off at the nearby Apple store and walk away. But it has to be done today, before the store closes. Why today? What happens if I am caught? Having second thoughts she ran up to somebody with the British royal guard attempted to explain the dire situation.

The gentleman listened attentively but was unable to help as he was just a Gundam cosplayer in town for the local anime/Star Trek convention. To him it was merely the raving of a lunatic and so he gestured toward the local mall assuming somebody there would be able to get her the help that she deserves. Looking at the clock it appeared she would make it in time, just in time. Down the escalators, past the food courts, and there is was, the Apple store. Rounding the corner of the mall, the view of a crowd of customers reminded her of the well known fact that every Apple store is busy, always.

Determined to push her way through she knocked innocent bystanders out of the way only to crash into a small child choking down food court trash. The collision knocked the two out and made a mess of the child's snack. As store manager J.P. came over to accept an Amazon delivery he noticed the incident and assuming it was just another kid barfing in the store, perfunctorily called to an associate to "Mop it up".

When she came to, her head was pounding and her vision was blurry. The sound of the alarm drilled through her ears and into her head. Reaching for the alarm she realized there wasn't one, only a ringing phone. Picking up the phone she said "Hello?" only to hear the sound of an entitled American complaining about problems with their iPhone. As fast as she tried to jump, the chains pulled her right back into the metal chair she was bound to. Looking above her cubicle she prepared to scream for help only to realize she was a single person in a warehouse full of thousands, all answering phones for Apple customer service. With armed security already suspicious, she swallowed the soul crushing nature of her future imprisonment and meekly responded to the customer on the other line..."Have you tried turning it off and then on again?"

This will probably mark the greatest battle of our "forum rivalry". I had a strong suspicion things were going to end up like this when the Final Four happened.

And when do I finally get to select a bomb word in this game?!!! Steefosaurus won't let me choose one in his game, Mop it up doesn't let me in her games and now Bungle won't let me choose one for this game. Conspiracy, I say!! Conspiracy!!

On behalf of the whole NWR administration I want to apologize for all the unfortunate incidents that have taken place with this panel. I want everyone to know that is not what we stand for here at NWR. This was supposed to be a safe event. We even put the word "safe" in the name of our streaming service!  Well clearly we have not made safety enough of a priority and that is why we will limit the panel to one last question.

Khushrenada, which streaming service is safe?

Well, I am going to disappoint you all by waiting to make my selection for tomorrow morning as I contemplate how to defeat Insanolord. Plus, it might give other players a chance to check in and realize what the stakes are to further increase interest for the grand finale.

Unless, of course, I change my mind and post something later tonight. But, for now, I will keep this as a Schrodinger Victory. I think I've won and Insanolord has lost but we just don't know until we open the box to see my choice.  ;)

And so it comes to this.

Insanolord is now in his 6th Final Round. That’s incredibly impressive. No one has been in more Final Rounds than him. In fact, this is the third game in a row that he has gotten to the Final Round. A new record and just madness combined. Although the long-running Safe Words joke I started as host was based around never playing the game again to keep Insanolord from winning, the man has preserved and has some impressive stats to his name. The only thing he lacks is more victories to his name. If it turns out he loses this game in the end, he’ll have tied Lucario for closest to back-to-back wins by getting to the Final Round after winning a game so he’s done everything he can to get himself that victory. And that’s probably the worst thing of all. Insanolord has gone and ruined the joke of Safe Words punching bag. Now he is the most feared player in the game.

Last game, I made the comment:

I'd prefer that Insanolord and I face off in the Final Round ten times with me winning them all and then Insanolord could win one against someone else later or we just stop playing. That part don't matter. But with all the hosting I've had to do that's probably not going to happen so it may be a dream unfulfilled.

Who knew we would see that moment of a Khush VS Insano so soon? Such a shame he had to win last game as me and him facing off for our first win would have been great. At the same time, me and my big mouth. Now there’s the possibility that Insano and I could face off over ten games and he wins them all. What kind of bizarro world is this? This game, I was really trying to apply lessons I learned from my losses in past games and behavior I’ve noted from players before. It feels like everything was coming together this game but the one player I could never shake off or elude was Insanolord who followed me in the rotation and didn’t miss either keeping me from getting a bomb word selection this game. I wanted to go through some past games to see if any player had ever won without having selected a bomb word the entire game but I don’t think it has happened yet from the few games I did review. And the last time I was in the Final Round, I had to select the remaining Safe Word and guessed wrong then. Like they say, if you want to be the best then you got to beat the best and so I guess it is only fitting that I do have to face off with Insano now.

Years ago, I watched one of those ESPN 30 for 30 docs on the founders of Rotisserie Baseball which later was morphed into Fantasy Sports so many now play today. Near the end of the doc, it highlighted that the person behind the idea who created it had never won a season or game of it. I’ve thought about that whenever I get the chance to play Safe Words. As the creator of it, I keep hoping I don’t suffer the same fate and am always hoping when I get the chance to play that I can take advantage of the opportunity to get a win. Here’s hoping I can finally get that mission accomplished.

Oh, um, er, I didn't expect anyone to actually ask me to explain that. Well, I guess you win this round of bluff or not a bluff.

Alright. Here's what I meant. In Safe Words 16, the only game MASB has won so far, MASB entered the Final Four in control of the bomb word. Of the four options available, he selected the last option. The first person to select then chose that option and immediately blew up giving MASB control of the bomb word again. Of the three options then remaining, MASB selected the middle option for the next bomb word.

In this game, Mop it up had control of the bomb word entering the Final Four. She selected the last option, Twitch, which immediately blew up Luigi Dude giving Mop it up control of the bomb word again. When I say I hoped she pulled a MASB it is because I was hoping she did what MASB did in that situation and selected the middle option of the three remaining words as the bomb word for that round. My hope was that by taking away Paramount it would lead to Insanolord choosing Apple since he mentioned using it before but hadn't said anything on Amazon. Unfortunately, it didn't work and he took Amazon. Mop it up said she went random with her choice but she ended up following the MASB pattern of Safe Words 16 in the end so how's that for coincidence?

With the serious talk out of the way, let’s talk word selection.

How would Insanolord like to end this game? Would he select Paramount+ in the hopes I choose it again and Star Trek Discovery takes me down? But what if I select Amazon and he has to go down with the (star)ship? Would he be ok with that? He had been selecting things based on what he last watched and posted that Paramount was what he last used at the time he made his selection of Amazon but I had taken Paramount away from him. In the short time from when he made that post to when he had to select a bomb word, had he watched a different service or was Paramount still his most recent viewing? Was he still following his strategy or did he fear that it would now be used against him in the Final Round?

On top of that, does Insanolord have a tell when it comes to the Final Round? I looked back at his previous 5 Final Rounds. In the first one, he was the player who had to select the remaining Safe Word. He chose option A and lost. In the other 4 Final Rounds, Insanolord had control of the bomb word just like he does for this Final Round. (Quit being so greedy and let others have a chance!) In three of those four rounds, Insanolord selected the word he had just guessed in the previous round which was safe for him. Does that mean that he will have selected Amazon Prime now as the bomb word?

On the other hand, all three of those words were option B in the Final Round and in the one game that he didn’t select the word he had previously chosen in the prior round, that’s because the option he selected was the B or second option. Basically, in every Final Round that Insanolord has selected the bomb word, he has chosen the latter or bottom option. As long as people guessed the top or first option, they won the game. Now, I highly doubt Insanolord went back and looked over his record before selecting the bomb word for this round. I’m not sure he is even aware of this record as I only clued into it now. Considering this is his third Final Round in a row, and in the previous two he selected the bottom option, would his natural instinct to select the bottom option kick in again?

On the other other hand, I decided to take emotion out of it and using a random number generator, I did a test of 11 picks. The number 2 option came up 8 out of 11 times. Seems kind of definitive there which option I should take. But it’s just random chance so what does it know?

It seems that selecting the same option Insanolord had previously chosen before the Final Round has high odds of being the bomb word but not as high as choosing option B. That coupled with the fact that Insanolord was likely watching more Star Trek: Lower Decks suggests that Paramount+ would be on his mind. Despite the random chance test, all history is indicating that I should choose Option A (Amazon) over Option B. In fact, in my favorite test of this situation, the Safe Words Jeopardy game, the final round was simply A and B. The person selecting the bomb word chose B. It does seem like that’s the favored option for the Final Round bomb word selector. Therefore, the odds dictate that my best chance of winning is to go with the A option. But maybe Insanolord has been playing a long con of selecting the B option over and over to reach this scenario in which he won last game with the B option and now finally switches to the A option to fool us all thinking he’d select B again in order win back-to-back games. At some point, you’d think he’d have to finally switch it up and choose a different option than B, wouldn’t he?
