I know I've talked about my gaming deals a bit, but I'd like to pass on some tips relating to today's purchase on how to get the most bang from your buck.

Some time ago, Toys R Us ran a promo where if you bought a Skylanders 3-Pack or an Adventure Pack, you got a $5 gift card.  This was when they first released the Dragon's Peak pack (the last adventure pack) and I was in line to get two, one for me and one for a co-worker that let me keep the second gift card for my trouble.

Later, I returned with my $10 in gift cards.  They had a deal going where if you bought two select games, you'd get a $10 gift card.  I price matched Kid Icarus with Best Buy, getting it for $30 instead of $40 and picked up Mario 3-on-3 which they had on sale for $25, down from $35.

Today, I went and picked up Pikmin 2 and Rayman Origins - they had a sale, 2 $20 games for $30.  Used my previous $10 gift card.

So, I got $140 worth of games/Skylanders and was only out $90 (before taxes, of course)... so, like 35% off.  And that's getting three of the items on launch week.

Always be on the look out for deals, always look for legitimate ways to stack and come join CAG. :D

Yeah CAG has saved me some money. Normally though it boils down to how much you want a game it's harder to get deals at launch than say a few weeks later.

So not really a new game... but my Nintendo 3DS Card Case 18 reward arrived in the mail today.
https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/24002.do

...  Strongly considering ordering another and throwing all my empty DS/3DS cases into storage to save desk space.

Well, guess that consideration is off the table as it's no longer possible. Apparently, these sweet DS cases are gone for good. It's no longer listed on the Club Nintendo website, and GoNintendo just posted the following article:

Gravity Rush (Vita). Fun game so far, but I'm kind of meh on the art style.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

$30 for both. I've never played a Final Fantasy and I finally decided it's time to try one out.

...you decide to play Final Fantasy and you chose the most divisive one besides XIII? You poor thing. :( You should've gone for VI through X.

I like, since you have six of the same figure, you should send one to me so I can buy the Skylanders game and have five total since I got that silver E3 Spyro. LOL

Kirby's Epic Yarn - $20 at Walmart

I would've preferred to get Return to Dreamland, but at $20 it's hard to say no to a game this gorgeous.

I just bought and downloaded Resident Evil 4 for $19.99 for Xbox 360. This is my first time with the game, as I was too young for such a game when it came out. So far I am loving it!

Im not one to buy games at full price, but after renting this one and playing it with my wife for a weekend, I couldn't help myself. Wife and I played this game together on New years eve a few years ago, and is now a yearly ritual.  Delightful game

5/7 of them appear to be dating games. 2 of them look like outright harems. Are you trying to tell us something?

Had a couple of gift cards to spend. I won Project Zero 2 in a competition.

I tried out the first couple of levels in Epic Yarn an i'm really enjoying it.
I played through the tutorial level of Disaster, and the story is already insane.

While it technically wasn't a purchase, I was given a copy of 999 for my birthday. However, I did buy my friends a copy of Nintendo Selects: Pikman 2.

Nice!  I'm extremely jealous, especially because it seems likely that NoA has no plans to release the game here.  I fully expect Project Zero 2 to be Wii's (imported) swan song for me.

I just picked up a copy of Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals for the DS yesterday.  I'm well aware it's probably a terrible game considering very few sites have reviewed it and the fact that I found the game on sale for $13 Used (w/ case & manual).  But despite that, Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals is one of my favorite RPGs from the SNES, so I wanted to give the "reimagining" a chance.

I've also bought various 3DS downloadable games (Mutant Mudds; Mighty Switch Force; etc.); FF Theathythm; & Kid Icarus Uprising over the past few weeks when it comes to titles on Nintendo platforms.

On the PS3, I've picked up The Amazing Spider-Man; Quantum Conundrum, the two Resident Evil Chronicles HD rail-shooters; and I'll be picking up Dyad tonight.  On the 360 (I hadn't plugged my 360 in for over a year) I picked up Bastion; Ms. 'Splosion Man; Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet; Alan Wake's American Nightmare; and FEZ.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

Just ordered The Resistance, won't have it until later this week though. It looks to fix all of the problems my group has with Ultimate Werewolf, such as early player elimination, the need for a moderator, and accusations based on nothing more than conjecture. I think that having real, material clues will go a long way. We shall see though.

Tribes: Ascend

Tribes Ascend is a free-to-play game. Anything you bought could have been acquired through actual gameplay. It's not a chore to play either, as the Tribes series has always been one of the best team-based shooters.

Otherwise, it looks like you got a pretty good bounty. ;)
