That's what my iTouch is for. :-D
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Since I just beat Super paper mario, and have only one game left on my backlog except it's hotel dusk so it pretty much counts as a book.

Yes i know the ending is aparently crap but im not going to NOT buy the game based on the last 5 minutes.

The first Angry Birds is fun (haven't played Seasons or Rio), and I heard Space makes big changes. Good idea to buy it.

Because if I buy it I will be addicted and lose my life to it?  Or because it is that bad?

It might not be that bad, but surely you can do better. Buy this instead. You missed the sale bringing the price to $2.50, It's a solid game. You can't be so desperate to buy something to play than to buy Angry Birds.

Arc Rise Fantasia - Found a "like new" copy for $15 and couldn't resist.  It's been a while since buying a new game, and even though this one has a spotty reputation there aren't many RPGs available on Wii.

Should also mention that I've been receiving the following games from Goozex:
  • DS: Zelda Phantom Hourglass (cart only)
  • GameCube: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
  • NES: Wurm, Top Gun 2, The Addams Family, Dragon Warrior, Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt
  • Wii: New Super Mario Bros Wii
And the following games from local used sales:
  • DS: Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story
  • NES: Jackal, Blaster Master, NES Advantage controller
Seems like a lot, but backlog and wallet aren't hurt because I recently sold a bunch of games that weren't going to be played again and only paid $36 out of pocket for the whole lot anyway (Arc Rise included).

Picked up a Lightning Rod and Zook for Skylanders and found a used Game Boy Color in great shape with a copy of Yoshi and a neat carrying case for $12.

Actually, Yoshi and the Carry case might not be bad.  I still have my GBC somewhere.

He probably bought 2 copies of each figure. One to leave in the package, and the other to play with.

Not really a purchase, but traded two Layton games that I bought used ($20 total) for Mario Party 9 today. Not sure that I love the changes, but the game seems pretty slick and streamlined. I haven't really played a Mario Party title since the N64 days, so this should be enjoyable. My nephews would love to come play too.

That must've been a stack of money, UncleBob.

I bought Spirit Tracks on a Target endcap. It's better so far than I thought it would be, although Zelda is a goddamn chatterbox. Also grabbed a 16gb Vita memory card and Uncharted. It's really good, a lot more like the first Uncharted (few setpieces, fewer scripted events, more game, less movie) which is fine with me. The only annoyance is that there are way too many instances of "control such-and-such with some Vita feature that you'll wish you didn't have to use!" Reminds me of early DS games. Every time I have to tilt the Vita's gyro, swipe the screen, or rub something, it takes me directly out of the game.

What I bought today
- or -
How to spend more money than you should while saving money.

Went to TRU when they opened to get my Dragon's Peak adventure pack. $25 with $5 gift card.  Picked one up for a co-worker and get to keep the gift card.

Went back later, picked up a copy of Kid Icarus - regular $40 - price matched Best Buy to get it for $30.
Also picked up a copy of Mario Hoops - on sale for $25.
Then, they had a promo where you could get a $10 Gift Card when you spent $50+ on select games (of which both games I bought counted).
Then, I used both of my gift cards from earlier while checking out.

So, $100 worth of stuff for $70... with a $10 gift card to spend later. :D

I got Metroid Other M for like $3.87 on Saturday. I had some credit at Play N Trade and they just dropped the used price to $8.99. It's in excellent shape.

I bought Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 the other day while it was on sale for $30 new at retail.  Considering I never bought the original game and merely borrowed it, I think I walked away from the MvC3 financial experience better than most.  I also on a whim picked up the PS3 version of Grin's Bionic Commando for $6.50 based on some recommendations from folks online whose opinions I trust (who said there is enjoyment to be had with the game despite its problems).

Now that the PS3 version of GoldenEye is on sale for $30, I'm probably going to pick that up in the next few days, based on the fun I had with the Wii version.  It's either that or Asura's Wrath, anyway.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

Woohoo!  Bonus time at work!
Most of the money needs to be saved or spent on bills, but I splurged and picked up a few games too.

  • Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (DSiWare) - Played and beat the retail version of this game, but wanted to have my own copy. Great combination of classic "match 3" gameplay with an RPG backing.
  • Tetris Party Live (DSiWare) - For me, this is perfect. Quick, configurable, and always on the system without needing to carry a cart around. Online versus is icing on the cake... at least until players disappear and servers get shut down.
  • Metroid Prime Pinball (DS) - Another game that I used to own long ago and remember fondly. I've been enjoying Zen Pinball so much, grabbing this (much less realistic) game for under $10 seemed like a fun compliment.
