Nintendo Gaming / RE:wiimote on PS3?
« on: December 06, 2006, 02:29:59 PM »
Well, this didn't take long to make. >_>

Screw off, Sony. Always copying off of Nintendo (even though that's what Nintendo wants)

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Getting a system launch day...
« on: November 12, 2006, 05:56:14 AM »
I have experience with waiting in line for a system launch. Heck, I waited in line for 5 hours at a midnight release of the GCN. I was 7th in line.

So, if you want to get a decent spot for the Wii, which is even more hyped than the GCN, I suggest waiting in line at LEAST 6 hours before launch. (this was at Wal*Mart)

For me, it would have to be having one of those skeletal knights fallings off a platform into the abyss in the Shadow Temple (OoT). I thought that was pretty funny.

And, any battle that involved the Iron Knuckles (fighting two at once in OoT was definitely awesome) *nod*

TalkBack / RE:Nintendo Reveals "Third Pillar"!

All of this could very well be done with split-screen action. Why spend an extra (I'm hypothesizing here) 20-70 dollars on something that could have already been inserted into the game? And from what I've read, it seems that it'd just be an advantage to sports titles and not other games, such as FPSs or a Mario game. This just seems like a gimicky way for Nintendo to get more money. Just like that e-reader hardware. I don't have a GBA myself but IMO, it seems like a money waster. I'm going to wait until I get some media of this thing before I make more guesses.

Well, when I said operating system I meant one that could also be used on a PC. My bad on communication, sorry. ^_^

It means we might finally have an operating system on the GCN and unlike Microsoft, Nintendo will probably shrug it off since they don't know much about what it's customers does anyways. That's what I think anyways. Pretty cool they might be able to do that.

Podcast Discussion / RE:Planet Prize Trivia: 5 December 2003

I find it very ironic how Windy thought Rimmer would lose last night in the topic.
Topic is 'Win a Flame GBA SP and Fire Emblem tonight during Planet Trivia!  And if you (Rimmer) suck at Planet Trivia, have another chance to win another Flame GBA SP and Fire Emblem during Radio Trivia next Friday!  Wow!'
Spoilers? Dude, the only spoilers there were the new scenes. All of this stuff was very predictable. I wouldn't worry about this trailer ruining the movie experience.

I knew I should have thrown this Chinese throwing star at somebody. It probably would have won me the gold medal. Even though there isn't one....

If you don't know what my Chinese throwing star is.

<SuperCube> you know, I made a Chinese throwing star out of an old AOL disk. I stabbed myself and it hurt.

I feel special. ^_^

I'm starting to think you skimmed my post rather than actually read it-...
Maybe you should stop that thought of yours because I did read your entire post.

I'm gonna stop posting on this thread since it is dying through my eyes. The thing's gettin' on my nerves. @_@

If I were you, I'd make sure my own spelling was perfect before critiquing others on it. I don't think of you any less because of it, especially since it was only one word compared to my many, but be careful when you're calling other hypocrites to make sure you're not one yourself.

You do know I misspelled that on purpose, don't you? *sigh* Have you never been to Jeff K.'s website? If not, then you must really be out of it.

Well of course, but if the United Nations were on your back for the better part of a decade, don't you think you'd divulge those secrets, too? Don't even TRY to justify what Hussein has done- this guy kills his own people so he can have more palaces. He's INSANE. He has absolutely no use for weapons of mass destruction OR chemical weapons- no country does, not even the US. So why is he so vehemently guarding them?
Then why does Russia still have weapons of such type? Why do we? How about we get rid of our own and go on an expedition to Russia with freaking UN inspectars to destroy THIER MISSI3S!!!11ds omg

That comment of yours is partially hypocritical, because if we have no intention of destroying Russia's nukes, why are we so eager to get rid of Iraqs? Should we actually ph33r Iraq? I seriously doubt we should.

One more thing. I'm still not going to believe any higher-up government officials until they can litteraly PROVE to me that they have changed. A lot CAN'T change in 30 years. Did you know that?

And another thing too (this is for your benefit). Proofread your posts.

I like the idea with the fan uploaded comics. I mean, it doesn't have to look good, it just has to be something funny. Like Microsoft Paint pictures. Those are funny as hell.

I'm very vehement, but that doesn't mean I don't respect other people. Yes, I think the public is being lied to and mislead, but that doesn't mean I have any enmity towards such people. I know my post will be offensive to many, but that's just the way it goes. I'm sure this is why this kind of topic is off limits.
Can you say Pentagon Papers? The time when most of our most powerful government officials and presidents lied to all of its citizens about what was happening in Vietnam and what the chances were of us "winning"? This did include President Truman and Kennedy.

1.) Young men got drafted and sent to a farwaway country that they don't even know much about. They wer being drafted to die basically
2.) Again, the government lied to us about the chances of us "winning". The chances were extremely low and they kept saying we were doing well in battle so they could do well in elections and campaigns. Also so that they would keep rolling in the money from sponsors so that they could be re-elected.

It was all for the publicity and the money. If my own American government, which is supposed to be for the land of the free and lied to our people, why should I believe anything that they say now? Please tell me.

Now, I noticed somebody mentioning that Suddam was hiding his weapons. Let me ask you all something. If you were dictator of a semi-powerful country wouldn't you want to keep your government secrets...secret? I know I would want to keep them away from the world. I can't blame him for wanting to hide some of his precious so called "weapons of mass-destruction". Can you?

Once again on the oil topic, this is a clear stated fact on CBS's Sunday morning about 1 month ago. Iraq produced about 3.1 (30?) million barrels of oil each day. They have about over 120 BILLION barrels in their reserves. That is a lot of freaking oil. Now, Bush has been an oil freak ever since I heard about him, and with all of this oil in reserves, he probably thinks that it "might" save our economy from dropping even more. Don't say that this is an ignorant thought because it isn't. Thinking that attacking Iraq is for terrorist purposes (in a good way) may not be true. Attacking Iraq for world peace might not be true. The reasona are numerous. Please inform me where you got that information if you do think it's for anti-terrorist purposes or some other reason. I'd be willing to look at it if you show me.

One more thing. I doubt I'll be posting on this topic anymore, because political threads just lead to more and more fighting and useless bickering that isn't nessacary. I just don't enjoy posting on threads like those. Please keep this topic going and don't insult.
It just makes more and more people angry.

I just hope it isn't one of those interviews like Penny Arcade. Ugh. Too much cursing for a professional interview. I think this thing will work out very well if you ask me. Billeh, I hope this goes well.

That does sound kinda hypocritical. But since Windy is "busy" with Trivia he needs his own little script to do his dirty work for him.

Thanks Windy. I appreciate the quick response. I won't use the little underline thingie anymore in #planetchat. At least you said something about it though. I was getting worried that you may have thought I was one of those guys who were like, "unban plz. kthx." At least we have it all cleared up. ^_^

Even so, It was a bit foolish on my part since I was warned earlier (about a month before).

OK, here's the story. As usual, on Friday nights I don't usually play PGC's trivia and instead I just chat along with my buddies on other channels. Well, I took a peek inside the channel window (I was already inside the channel beforehand) and I see a strange trivia question come up. I don't know, but I then used my smilie @~@. That basically means, "OK, that's... funky" And guess what! Windy has underline as an auto kick/ban and he bans me for underlining one character! He didn't even look at what I said. He just had the kick in an IRC script! Now, this was a month ago. A month, and I still haven't gotten a reply from Rick, or Windy from the email I sent them both.

Yes, I did read the rules. It says that if you underline that you're banned. But, it also stated the reason WHY you would be. I don't think I came up to those standards. This is 1.) Rude for not even replying 2.) Stupid for having me banned for an entire month for underlining one character. I also read that if you complain about an op's judgement or something like that, it's not going to help. Well, I'm not complaining about Windy's judgement because he didn't even judge if this should be considered rulebreaking.

I'd appreciate if it Rick would finally say something about this or some other mod/op. This is just stupid for being banned over something that probably didn't get anybody attention. (Which is why they dont' want color, bold, or underlining in the channel)

By the way, if I had actually underlined my message(s) like this, I should be banned. But this is just pathetic.

*I figured I'd get somebody's attention if I posted here*

Also, Rick. I found a typo in your editorial about how Nintendo fans would run Nintendo.

"Nintendo is a public company, and like any responsible public company, they’re number one goal is to be profitable."

Ok, I'll get right on giving the over 1500 people registered here all custom titles ... </sarcasm>
Ever think to let us have the option of doing it ourselves?

What "Pengy" said is the exact reason why I think these forums are the suck. No avatars and no sig crap makes me seem like some kind of a .... meh, screw it. I'm just not gonna post that often here. I'd rather go to VG Cats or use IRC.

I'm pretty sure the no avatar thing is a bandwidth thing.
How would avatars that are provided by different sites effect your bandwidth? I think it works like this. That person's computer sees that it has to download a specific picture file. .jpg, .gif, whatever. That computer downloads the file and puts it into their temporary internet files folder. It then puts the picture onto the browser in your site, but it won't effect any of your bandwidth. Only the person who's hosting the file. And yes, it might slow down the load of a page. *gasp*? but who gives a crap? You wait about 4-6 seconds longer if you're on dialup, but I think it's a small price to pay for avatars.

Sorry if I got that wrong, but that's just what I understand by using the internet for over 8 years.
