I'm pretty pleased with the DS support here, the Gamecube support... eh, no surprises I will say that. I hope that Yu-Gi-Oh game makes use of the DS touch screen for much more responsive controls during the actual game. I got the first one for the GBA and liked it, but didn't really see a need to get others as they just added new cards and nothing more. A touch screen centered control scheme could convince me to pick up the DS incarnation, though. If it's online, then, yeah, I won't blink a eye about getting it.

Honestly, this E3 is making it sounds pretty good to be a DS owner about now.

Eh, I suppose I worded that poorly. I meant the level of support for the Gamecube wasn't surprising, given Konami's track record.

Karaoke what now?  Cool!

Looks like Donkey Konga was a pretty good idea.  It's established the rhythm genre on the Cube.  Why else would Konami suddenly give us DDR and Karaoke Revolution at the end of the Cube's life when virtually no third party games are selling?

I think it's partially because they expect DDR Mario Mix to sell well, and since people are already going to have the pad for that game, they'll probably buy a second game to use with the pad. And since it will sell with a microphone, it can be used with another GameCube game (I think George Harrison briefly mentioned another game for the GC that used a microphone during the press conference?). Classic business tactics.
