Heh.

Seems like this is the same sort of competitive co-op we've seen in 4 swords, judging from the race markers in the second screen.

4 swords-type games in general are perfect for the DS. I want to see more of them, and the original itself.

I can't actually think of any 2 player platformers. Which ones are you talking about?

Edit: Right, Sonic... can't believe I forgot those. In all fairness though, that was artificially limited because they couldn't show both characters' viewpoints at once. And I liked that mechanic anyway.

There is Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, although in both Tails was indestructible so the second player could just goof off.

Yeah, Fours Swords Adventure is the perfect candidate for the DS. Much better than expecting everyone to have a GBA and cable. I know it's been announced, but as of yet there isn't a concrete date.

I love how this game seems to be turning out. Must buy, and been too long for a new side scrolling Mario game.

It's wicked fun.  Jonny kept kicking my ass at it ("LUIGI LOSE"), but it was a lot of fun, and if you want to make it competitive, there are plenty of ways to screw each other.
