Disjointed response to earlier post...

I would also like to think that it's not the Avengers job to stick around after a mission to do clean up. The Avengers are commissioned by SHIELD, so I would assume that the Gov (or whatever agency that took their place) would then be responsible for the post event participation, whatever that may entail.

I can see how blaming the Avengers is what makes sense, as they are the known face  (and in many ways, the cause of lots of the destruction), to those that were there, but I have to think they have a squad that does show up that they just haven't gone into detail about yet.

There was that Gov crew that came in on Spider-man: Homecoming, and it's they were the same "Damage Control" that almost got a sitcom on ABC, then that's probably the spearhead of the cleanup crew.

Speaking of which, I think it would be awesome if Feige would bring back "One Shots" but do it after event movies and have it be Damage Control don't cleanup. There's gotta be lots of comedic and dramatic opportunities in those situations to expand on the snake moments of the MCU.

The difference was they were the target of Zemo's plight?

And don't forget that Sam was reasoning and connecting with her, because not only does he understand where she's coming from, but he was a counselor, and was also trying to get more info out of her. Such as the location of the rest of the NuSS serum. That was until #NotMyCaptain burst in and blew the the whole fact finding mission with his whole "I'm the Captain Now" BS.

also, Zemo used to be part of some sort of Kill Squad, so he wasn't a boy scout prior to his CW actions.

Also, Damian Lee is getting cut and will be uninvited from future Curry family barbecues.
So Wiggins is getting cut by the Warriors, right?

Also, Damian Lee is getting cut and will be uninvited from future Curry family barbecues.

maybe and YES.

but also they should have left the squad that was out there getting and maintaining the lead stay out there a bit longer.
I really don't know WTF D.Lee was thinking on that last shot....
but Poole did the same thing in the previous quarter, and Curry missed a few layups as well.

plenty of blame to go around. Just not all of it was in the moment that mattered the most.
Looking at you D. Lee.  ( ಠل͟ಠ)┌∩┐

Voice controlled, auto transforming, remote controlled, programmable.... But hands free.

I'm sure this is how some horror stories start, but I'm on for the intro 😉

I was just gonna ask, well before I place a bet.... I need to know what the PS5 and Switch release schedule looks like for the next 2-3 months.

RE8 is a big release. One I assume is not making it's way to Switch, certainly not any time soon, if ever.

I may have to bet on PS5 this time, as I lost the last bet we set up. Lol

>Wakka wakka wakka with 98 other jerks.

Title of my sex tape?
Is "jerks" a noun or verb here?

New Loki Trailer

LMAO at the "please sign" scene.

I heard certain LG TVs kept dimming the show. So it might be your TV... 🤷🏿‍♂️

There's still a lot of unanswered questions, and everyone taking the vaccine now are all guinea pigs in the process of getting those questions answered.

I plan on taking it eventually, but as long as all of you out there taking the vaccine, and I stay cautious  while in public, I'm not all that worried about it in the short term. I can wait it out a bit longer.

But the minute someone develops some cool mutant powers... please let us know.
That might be all the incentive needed ;) :P

GvK aka Godzilla vs King Kong

This was a pretty dope movie, far from perfect, but the fight scenes were pretty dope.
It seemed to kinda skip certain things for sake of saving time, and I mean to transition from one situation or scene to the next, but it's nothing major. and I'm sure the exclusion of those types of scenes probably shaved a few minutes from the runtime. So all is forgiven.

Kong looks like a bad ass in this with his grey beard, just an observation.
But you can kinda liken this movie to a Batman vs Superman, in the sense that Godzilla is a much more equipped beast (mouth laser, thick hide, tail, and at home in the water or on land) than Kong, but Kong ain't no punk.

long story short, worth the watch.

I understand the hesitation to take this vaccine based on how it was originally presented, and historical treatment of POC when it comes to testing these things.

From a POC POV, sitting back and watching what happens to everyone that does take it, is quite a popular stance. But honestly, the new admin has done a much better job of framing this as a safe and effective treatment, and not just a monetary achievement and political goal for a re-election campaign.

Russel Crowe joins Thor: Love and Thunder

but who is he gonna play...?

The comic series is so good.  The status quo shifted a lot, which made it a very fun read.  I'm really excited this is getting an adaptation because I think a lot of people will like it.

Well, just on the off chance you weren't aware, the first 3 episodes have already dropped.
and so far I'm into it.

I was not aware, thank you.  I'll try to check them out soon.

Cool. I look forward to the impressions of someone familiar with the source material.

It's all good.

Also I believe Netflix or Nickelodeon, whoever is in charge of the Airbender series, has set up a special studio to handle those specific projects if I remember correctly. So I'm hoping they expand on the world of ATLA

Not MCU Related, so I'm dropping it here

Tom and Jerry - If you've seen the trailer then you don't need to see the movie. If you watch the movie there isn't anything more you're going to get out of it.  Find an old clip on some 1940s Tom and Jerry. It will be better.

It's been a very very long time since I've watched a Tom & Jerry cartoon, but I always kinda remembered it as Jerry living his life, and Tom, being the cat of the house, had a job to do to get rid of him. Occasionally Jerry would stray outside and hide behind Spike, who being a dog, just naturally hated cats, and would therefore come after Tom.

Maybe I remember it wrong...
Movie just makes Jerry an unapologetic asshole for no good reason, and Tom is more or less responding to being constantly triggered by Jerry. Except that in the movie (and this covers the majority of the movie that I missed, and have not intention of going back to watch) Tom does get hired to get rid of Jerry but Jerry was still just being a dick for dick's sake.

Looks like DC aims to have a Big Year next year

#TheBatman drops March 4
#BlackAdam drops July 29
#TheFlash drops November 4
#Aquaman2 drops December 16

I need to compare this to the MCU release schedule to see who might be blinking or shuffling dates next year.

ATLA and Korra are both great.
I prefer the first series over the second, but they were both great.
I would love to see a 3rd series that carries on the story.

I know they are doing a new animated project in the Avatar space, and I think also another Live Action version on Netflix, but who knows what that will look like or when it will come to be.

oh, and this is the Movie thread. I think you may have been looking for the TV thread.

I haven't finished either of these movies I'm about to mention, but here goes.

Tom & Jerry

Why is Jerry such a fucking asshole? I remember the cartoon taking a slightly more opposite position.
Except here Jerry will actively antagonize Tom for absolutely no reason. The cat was literally running his own hustle and Jerry comes up, out of the blue, and tries to co-opt it and steal all his hard earned profits.... fucking up the whole setup in the process. And then this just continues throughout the rest that I've seen so far. I can only imagine how they try to redeem Jerry after all this tom-foolery.

edit: I know I missed a part of the movie somewhere, but Jerry a was petty dick even in the end.

Bad Trip

An Eric Andre hidden camera movie.
I'm probably about halfway through this one and OMG this **** is HILARIOUS.
I had to shut it off because my daughter came in the room, and almost none of this is kid appropriate.
They set up real people in the scenes for this movie and capture their actual reactions. Some of it is WTF and some of it is LMAO but either way, I think I woke the house this morning trying to watch it.
So next time you in the mood to laugh, and don't have anyone around that is offended by "nudity" and adult humor, put this one on. I'm curious if they stick the 2nd half, but the first half has been funny so far.

edit: Good watch funny from beginning to end. It's hilarious to see how some people act, react or don't react in these random ass fucked up situations. LMAO

I didn't say the Warriors weren't a "super team", I said they added 1 player to create this "super team". They evolved from somewhat known players mostly drafted to the team to eventually become super talents over time. They didn't get pulled on to the Warriors because they were already known talents. Durant was added to put them over the top.

What the Nets are doing is literally pulling Known pieces from all over in real time to create a SUPER TEAM.

it's two different things.
The Warriors became a great team. and then added a piece to become SUPER.
The Nets are literally in the process of recruiting a SUPER TEAM.

I'm not even faulting them for it, just pointing out that people were all over the Warriors for adding a single player (albeit a great one) to their squad... the Nets brought on Kyrie and Durant, then added Harden, then added Blake and then LaMarcus, and then may also get a shot at Drummond.
I'm not saying "it's not fair" I'm just pointing out that this it trying to form a Super Team.
They are recruiting known talent from all over. Griffin may be "past his prime" but he was playing possum over in Detroit. He wasn't about to hurt himself trying to push nothing nowhere.
LaMarcus may not be in his prime anymore either, but being able to have quality vets on the squad of Durant, Kyrie and Harden can be as helpful as Warriors having an Iggy on his down slope. Maybe serving a different purpose with a different focus, but helpful none the less.

Besides, I'm all for every team doing what they can to make for the most challenging and entertaining Finals. Who knows if this experiment works, as they may not all work well together.
but the only point I was making is that this is the forming of a "super team" that the Warriors were accused of.
Building a solid ass team through the draft and then trading to fill a need or upgrade a position is what ALL teams hope to do.
Somehow being able to recruit ALL the available named talent to one team in a 2 year span is the literal creation of a "super team" and that's pretty much all my comment was meant to point out.
