Wii Boxing ...
« on: September 14, 2006, 11:32:10 AM »
I need details, people ... anyone know if you can use two regular remotes?  I'd love to be able to box without worrying that I'm going to strangle myself with the Nunchuk cord.

Are there any photos or videos around of someone actually playing it yet?

Looking at the video (I think from the long compilation from the Japanese site) you use the Wiimote and the nunchuck as your fists.

On the left hand side they have a link for boxing.  It looks to be wii remote/nunchuck.  Have a look.

Why does America not get it?  (or so I read/heard)
I must find a way to use "burninate" more in my daily speech.

Well, hopefully the Nunchuk cord isn't too long.  Too long, and I'll have just enough cord to hang myself when I go for an uppercut.  I'm not the most coordinated guy on the planet ...

Again, I heard there's two versions of Wii Sports.  Japan gets 5 games - bowling, golf, tennis, baseball, and boxing - but America only gets four.

No one else heard that?

Edit: BigJim seems to agree.

Edit during Edit since I had to wait for the time limit: Good.  We damn well better get boxing.

Would be nice if it was two 'chucks, but it wouldn't be by default, since it comes with the Wii and the Wii only comes with one controller.

EDIT: Darn it!  I meant two WiiPointers!

Well, since a Chuk can't be used without being connected to a remote, I'm over it.  Just seeing a video of boxing in action is making my absolutely SALIVATE over the idea of EA porting Fight Night 3 with a first person mode to Wii.

Could be kinky.

You never know.

Forget Fight Night, I want Super Punch Out! to release on the VC and to use the Wiimote and nunchuk!

I second.

Never a big fan of "real" boxing games.
