Topic: Nintendo Direct Coming Tomorrow in Japan

News about upcoming 3DS and *gasp* Wii software will the focus of the show. No Wii U.

Nintendo will be hosting a Nintendo Direct Event in Japan tomorrow at 8 p.m. (7 a.m. ET, 4 a.m. PT). The event will focus on upcoming Wii and Nintendo 3DS titles. Be sure to check out the official Nintendo Direct website for more information about the conference which will be also be streamed live on Nico Nico Video and Ustream. There will be no information about the Wii U at the event. 

The information about the conference also came to Japanese gamers on their 3DS via Swapnote in a a special message from Satoru Iwata (see gallery below). 

As of right this time, no other region has announced a companion Nintendo Direct of their own. To find out what time this event is happening in where you live by going here.

My safe predictions would be:
*Doubutsu no Mori (Animal Crossing, this Autumn/Winter)
*DQX assistant app mention.
*Wii Players Choice selection updated slightly.


My slightly less safe predictions would be:
*Tomodachi Collection (AKA Friend Collection, Mii-avatar life sim)
*NSMB2 level packs.
*Circle Pad Pro LL shown.
*New 3DS XL/LL colour(s).

I'm going to agree with one of James' predictions: I feel like now, just over a month after NSMB2 was released in Japan, is the perfect time to announce new levels for the game.  I'm actually a little disappointed that these DLC levels are only for the coin rush mode.  I've never been a speed-rush-style Mario player, I like to explore the levels' nooks and crannies.  I suppose if the new ones are specifically designed for coin rush though...

As of right now, there is no North American Nintendo Direct announced, so no chance of the announcement (Iwata will only talk about stuff related to Japan, if the past is any indication).

IGN has confirmed there is no North American version of the Nintendo Direct event happening.  Don't hold your breath for any announcements -- and especially not for any Wii-related announcements -- over here.
