Title: New Mutant Mudds Content Available After 100% Completion

The 20 new stages that come as part of next week's update to Mutant Mudds are only accessible once the player has achieved 100% completion.

The news comes from a Twitter conversation, where Jools Watsham, co-founder Renegade Kid, who made the game, was asked if the content was locked behind any sort of completion gate, akin to the update toMighty Switch Force. Watsham confirmed that yes, players must have all 40 Water Sprites and all 2000 Golden Diamonds.

I think that makes perfect sense. These new stages are designed around playing as Granny, who can use all three upgrades at once, so they're naturally going to be more difficult than the main Mutant Mudds levels.

So they've retroactively made my achievement of collecting everything in Mutant Mudds more worthwhile (you know, beyond the whole enjoyment thing)?...I'm ok with that.

Guess I won't be playing them any time soon...the game gets so freakin' hard and I have too many other games begging for my attention.

useless "free" content
I am currently stuck on a level and cannot progress. I have attempted literally hundreds of times and I always fail.
What started out as a fun, retro-style game has turned into the e-shop title that pissed me off the most and continues to find new ways to do so.

p.s., Nintendo is definitely on to something with their "super guides" and other ways that make their games both difficult and accessible at the same time. Only Nintendo seems to give a sh*t about me, the average player.

I've completed the game 100% twice, and am intending to go back and play all the way through the third save slot before next Thursday so I'm ready for the new challenge. I love this game, and it's probably still my 2012 Game of the Year, at least for another month.
