Nintendo Gaming / Re: 3DS demos on the way!
« on: January 31, 2012, 12:49:03 PM »
I forgot about the creepy London Olympics mascot...

It was pretty simple, but I could see the game being a fun distraction when you want something easy to play (especially multiplayer could be fun). Each game demonstrated a different control scheme, which was cool, and it made use of a lot of the various functions of the 3DS including the gyro.

Maybe it will choose the user Mii/Name associated with the 3DS system automatically or in the initial set up that will determine who gets to be mayor or maybe there will only be one player per cartridge this time. Or like you suggested Mannypon multiple towns per cart where it's all contained to its own save slot.

Hmm those are all interesting ideas about multiple players/mayors. It says that the village is larger and divided into several parts - maybe each player gets one section to look after?

So what happened to Tortimer? Are you the stand in mayor while he's off on holiday, or something?! Or the Mayor hires you for some town beautification project (or Tom Nook hires you to do his work). Ok, so those details don't really matter, and the news says you become mayor so that doesn't make sense anyways. Whatever the case may be, I'm getting pretty stoked for this game!

The screenshot looks really nice. I guess Tom being in charge of the model homes and real estate mean he will be outside his shop! I like the idea of more customization of everything

Hey guys, let's be friends! Of course I don't expect to make everyone's list (I'm not a regular poster and the 100 limit). I appreciate the add and I am going through the codes on the front page. Thanks!

Swapnote rocks so I would love to get into that circle. I also have Mario Kart 7

« on: January 22, 2012, 01:17:50 AM »
i was probably going to get it eventually, but having a chance to try out the controls and game play makes me want it much sooner. I haven't played Mercenaries 3DS so this is my first RE experience on the 3DS and I can't really compare them.

So far I've only played through once and made it through. At first I kept wanting to hit the left trigger to go into aim mode instead of the right in case I needed to use the touch screen with my right hand. I was kind of expecting to use the touch screen to shoot, but the controls work pretty well. I was looking for a health gauge other than blood on the screen and a way to see healing items but I'll need to play again and take a better look at the menus.

Yay for demos! I liked the DS demo station off of the Wii's Nintendo Channel but now that we have the eShop, it is such a more efficient method of delivering demos.

Strafe, you say?? Clearly I need to play the demo again. I didn't realize you could do that. As I was wandering through the corridors i was wishing there was a strafe. I also didn't realize you could scan the enemies when they were alive. The Scan Visor deal is a neat little addition esp for completionists like myself! The spare weapon parts should be fun too

What the heck? EB Games Canada has been taking preorders since November! $25 down with a place holder price of $299.99 with March 20th 2010 as the release date. I don't know what software is now available or if the info has changed.

how can i delete these demos off the wii?
or, if i am connected to wiiconect24 will ithey vanish when the demos are pulled?
You can delete them like you would any channel. Nope, they don't disappear. I still have the demos from last year cuz I am a hoarder and I've downloaded all the demos so far this year :3

Demos should really be a year round option. Or at least something up to the developer, if they want to make one. It definitely improves the chances of people buying the game. Just look at the App store and all the free/lite versions of games.

And Yet it Moves - very cool. Creepy ambient mood and sound. Twist the world around to allow our guy to get where he needs to go. Possible buy

Fluidity - Nice presentation and will offer puzzle fans a lot of value. I don't have the patients for these kinds of games so it wasn't really my thing. It kinda felt like i lucked my way through the first level cuz the water wasn't doing what I wanted and I lost a lot of it throughout the whole level.

Jett Rocket - I was actually impressed by this one. It's a kiddie platformer, but it seems pretty polished. Good graphics, controls, and camera. Looks like it's got the standard "Super Mario 64" set up with the home base "castle" and and ports to other areas that are accessed once you get enough points. You have a jet pack that lets you do your platforming. You probably get other upgrades and abilities. I'll pass but its worth a look.

ThruSpace - Very simple design; you move a shape through a tunnel, twisting it to fit a small hole. It's like that toddler's toy where you have to figure out which whole the square fits :P . Except its timed and you have to go fast to get a good score and match certain patterns to collect the most points. I could see this being pretty addictive and frustrating.

I just want to know if this is a direct sequel to Hotel Dusk (Kyle Hyde, same art style, etc.) or just a spiritual sequel.
Here's a Hotel Dusk sequel in the works for ya: "The Last Window" http://www.siliconera.com/2009/11/12/the-last-window-is-a-sequel-to-hotel-dusk/

TalkBack / RE: Nintendo Releases DS TV in Japan
« on: November 25, 2007, 09:45:59 AM »
Play-Asia has it for sale, and in stock for about $90.

So if they were to release a TV Tuner in North America, would it have to be a completely different model in order to work with whatever service they were to use? Otherwise it would only pick up the basic channels (all four of them) with the antenna, right?

The whole thing sadly...  What they meant was "Zelda: TP for $40." Both GCN and Wii versions were $40 each.

Oh, by the way, Super Store has a lot of games (all systems) marked down to $20, and other price drops. The only Wii game I saw was DBZ Budokai-whatsit 2 for $20. It might be worth checking out!

If you're still looking for Modern furniture, I have some pieces I'm willing to sell. I have the bed, cabinet, chair, and lamp (I also have the desk and floor, which you already have).

Yeah, not that many...(I did say "some") but if you're interested, just say so.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:list of rail shooters/light gun games
« on: January 24, 2006, 01:37:27 PM »
Resident Evil: Dead Aim would be great with the rev controller/nunchaku. In the PS2 game, you had to move around with the d-pad on the back of the GunCon, or use two controllers - a dual shock for movement in third person, and light gun to shoot in first person. It was still fun and an interesting take on the RE series, though. Hopefully we'll get another on the revolution. If not Resident Evil, I'm sure there will be plenty of others.

...oh, and I'd love to see a Panzer Dragoon lightgun/rail-shooter game on the rev, too... (sega plzplz!)

Hmm, interesting; I better check that out tomorrow - does it apply to the $29.99 games?

Oh, sorry, don't know if it counted for games $29.99. (yeah, a little late on the reply...). I didn't end up going, so I'm not sure if there were certain restrictions or anything. Did you give it a try? manage to pick up any good games?

This probably varies from location to location, but I saw Geist in the $18 discount game bin at Wal-Mart. I've also seen Killer7 and Baten Kaitos in there, too, for that price.

Ah, good to hear that the bug has been fixed! I dont know how often this issue popped up, but it would've been a hassle to have to set all new accounts manually...

I appreciate the help with my account. Thanks!
