Naturally, I didn't have a camera, but EasyCure from our lovely forums did, so special thanks to him for the pictures of the museum.
Also, for anyone curious about the tournament, I had no idea what in the hell was going on. I think something went on, but I'm not quite sure what or how. It was pretty chaotic, even more so with the rain.
The museum had a lot of odd and cool relics from Mario's history, including the following:
Check out this awesome sweater that seems to have a tie to Mario Kart.
This work of art shows a lot of Mario's history, ranging from Wart to Dr. Mario to the Koopa Kids.
I missed the level in Super Mario Bros. 2 where you drove a car.
Rain would've known to stay the hell away from this poncho. At least I think it is a poncho.
This water-logged area didn't get much love during the event.
From the era where Mario characters didn't have defined visages. Look at weird gray Bowser.
I'm in this picture. Guess who I am.
I would've killed for this totally rad comforter as a kid.
Likewise with this lunch box.
There was a time where "Mario Bubble Bath" was a product. That must've been a fun time.
This might've been the reason why the Frog Suit hasn't returned.
The days of Nintendo-owned Nintendo Power featured such awesomeness as this.
For serious, when did Mario drive a car in Super Mario Bros. 2?!?
Check out other images here.
Once again, thanks to EasyCure from the NWR Forums.
Hey Easycure, does Neal say "Totally Rad" in real life?
I'll say it again. Thanks EasyCure!

Thanks EasyCure! Those are some great pics.
These pictures are indeed awesome.
I had quiet a few of those Mario products back in the day.
Is there any pics of Fleece and EasyCure?
Never did get to meet Neal here but if he's telling the truth about one of the pictures posted above then.. well.. It gives me an excuse for pissing my pants in laughter just now. Did I really take a picture of you in the crowd without even knowing!? HAHAHA Small world.
If it weren't for the weather and the conditions of the event I would have gone. The pictures look real cool, but too bad they didn't set up inside the store. I had one of the Mario Bros. lunch boxes, I don't know what happened to it though. The deal with the tournament was early on they asked people on the line if they wanted to enter and they'd get a wrist band. This was also at the same time they began handing out tickets to ensure yourself a copy of the game. I didn't enter because I didn't know how long that would all take and I did know if it would cause me to miss out on any free stuff. At the end though I'm glad because when I left it was pouring. It would have been cool to kick it with EasyCure and his girl, maybe play some four player Mario Bros. I hope the next event is drier!

Yes you did. I was the guy with the "Spaced Invaders" shirt.
I'd think that they would do a Spirit Tracks event, but it wouldn't be as ambitious as this one.
I have that comforter and the matching pillow cases!
you could always post the one I took of you and your girl and photoshop peaches face onto hers! To protect her privacy of course
EasyCure won't post the pic we took together, but I did manage to find a photo of me buying the game:

Cool!
Ladies Man? pass the courvosier!!?
hahahah he does! If we ever meet up face to face I'm just gonna have to talk like Leon Phelps the Ladies Man until he begs me to stop or punches me in the face.
ps that movie was horrible but it did have one great line:
"Mr Phelps i see here under hobbies you listed 'dabutt'?"
"Oh, no, thats "da butt", Yeah"
ok ok, the whole scene interviewing the nun was pretty funny too
