Welcome to The City. It is the 1930's or maybe the 1940's. It's hard to tell because days and months bleed into one another here like the innocent citizens gunned down in the streets. People keep hoping for Law and Order to assert themselves but for now organized crime reigns supreme! However, the latest Mob atrocity may finally have been one crime too many for it will put on the Mafia's trail a dogged pursuer of justice who goes by the name Dick Tracy! Will Big Boy and his organization be made to answer for their crimes or will they be able to extinguish this last ray of hope and keep The City under their dark rule for good?

Announcements:
As a reminder, this game is using the Majority Vote Rule. Since there are currently 12 players, a majority vote would require 7 or more players. If a majority vote is reached, the day will end 2 hours after that majority has been reached if none in the majority change their vote. Otherwise, the day will end in about 47 hours at 1:00 AM EST Nov. 16, 2016.
If you need a refresher on how the Majority Vote Rule works, please see the Players List, Role and Rule thread soon to be posted.
There is no forced voting requirement for this game.
If you have any question, please pm me or ask them in this thread. I think this is all there is to currently discuss.

Alrighty now, before this game turns itself into a ghost town as per usual, I'm going to attempt to make things interesting and get the ball really rolling here on Day 1.
So, the Mafia only has two members, and they have very specific conditions wherein they gain their third. The Godfather's investigative immunity will make him harder to track down, but his goon is wide out in the open, and taking one of the scum out early on in the game is starting out with a pretty decent lead. With a doctor to cover for the investigator, things could potentially be wrapped up pretty quickly.
I'll come out of the gate and claim that I am your cop, Dick Tracey himself, and through my first investigation I can tell you that Stogi is your Goon #1. I decided to check him first since he can be a shifty character in these games and I wanted to try and confirm his allegiance. Lucky me, my gut feeling worked in my favor and a mafia member is now out in the open.
I understand that claims are not always trusted very easily; I expect skepticism. However, I also would advocate for people to consider the game plan I have here: if we vote Stogi today, which can be done, doctor can protect me from a night hit and we can start and try to figure things out from there. So long as I retain doctor protection the mafia will be denied an extra member, keeping them severely handicapped for the rest of the game.

Well, you just had to complicate things. The tally of votes is as follows:
The problem is that Silenced has two votes in play. One for Pokepal148 and one for Stogi. When that happens both votes would be cancelled out which would be a tie between Stogi and Lucario. As per the precedent I set last game I hosted with the Majority Vote Rule, in the case of a tie, neither person is eliminated since you've had 48 hours to resolve the situation and the focus is on a majority vote not ties.
However, Silenced complicates it further by putting in a bold unvote before his vote for Stogi. I'm thinking he put that there to show he was changing his prior vote from Pokepal148 to now vote Stogi. However, he doesn't mention Pokepal148's name after the unvote so it's just sitting there blank. My guess is that he is playing and voting in a way that is done on a different forum but I'm not sure which forum that might be as I've never seen it that way. Although, deduction and logic would imply that Silenced would cancel his vote and may have been implying that he was cancelling his vote against Pokepal148, it isn't clearly or explicitly stated that is what he is doing. For all I know, he typed in the bold unvote by accident in his haste to post his long message.
My policy as a host has always been to stick to the rule as much as I can of letting the players decide the game. In situations, like this, where there could be interpretations of what was meant and an arguments made for or against cancelling his Pokepal148 vote, I feel it best to just invalidate his votes and not take it upon myself to play for the player or players involved. Moreover, Silenced has plenty of experience at this point with our Mafia games and should fully be aware of the fact that he needs to edit to unbold or unvote his previous vote/post before making a new vote. My guess is that tomorrow will result in the Majority Vote Rule being enacted so this won't be a huge sticking point.
As such, the official final tally will be:
Stogi - 2 Lucario - 2 Dasmos - 1 TOPHATANT123 - 1
We now enter the night action period. For those with night actions, you have 12 hours to submit them. If you have submitted them, you have an hour after submission in case you want to change your mind before it is locked in.
