Ok sorry to step in aagain but the Sega Saturn was announced it would be launched in September justa couple days before the PS1, then they stepped in and said it woud geta limited release to select retailers five months in advance,
Announcing at e3 that the system is on its way, when no previous launch date had been set, is still different from what Sega did. Also Sega Saturn was DOA because most people who would have bought it either already wnt out and got a 32x/sega cd, OR waited for the PSX becaus eitw as cheaper and woudl have more games to play. The first year of its life Saturn OUTSOLD playstation.
But I do think that if Nintendo is ready to launch now and is just getting games to getehr for launch, remeber a lot of GC games have been getting canceled recently anyone else think theres s connection? Maybe devs are switching thier GC projetcs over to teh Rev becuse they knwo it has a greater profit potenial since it will be a brand new system.
Anyways if you take EVRYTHING together, the Zelda delay, the Rev being very similar to make games for as GC, so many GC games getting canceled , the devs contstnly talking nothing but good about revmote, the fact that Nintendo is still proclaiming world wide release, they said Rev would laucnh around same time as competirtos, everything together points to the summer being a possibility for launch, if games are ready and if Nintendo want to make a big enough splash at E3, this would be the perfect way to do it, like a previous poster said, anounce at E3 that Revs are on thier way to stores, but do it AFTER unvailing the first wave of games, that will cause major rush to get the games and if they start marketing it like in big blockbuster movies leading up to the release they very well could build up enough hype and publicity to comletley overshadow the ps3.
