During a demonstration of the game on Treehouse Live, Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham confirmed that there will be twenty playable characters that can take the Super Challenge, switching to Rusty (SteamWorld Dig) on the fly during the demo.
Watsham also reconfirmed the game as crossbuy compatible, to go along with the loyalty discounts for the Nindies@Home program and for owners of the original Mutant Mudds.
