New news has emerged about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon to coincide with the World Pokémon Championships.

Two trailers were released this morning showing new looks for the trainers and Alola regions, as well as new Z-moves like "Clangorous Soulblaze" for Kommo-o which raises its stats and damages all enemies on the screen.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will also feature expansions to the Poké Finder via a new group called the Alola Photo Club.

Does anyone know if the number of Pokemon you can keep is going to be increased? I believe Sun and Moon gave you up to 32 boxes.

The total number of boxes should be increased.

However I am concerned that Game Freak is usually behind the times when it comes to natural progressions like these.  Consider the fact that Pokemon Bank provided 100 boxes for a total of 3,000 Pokemon.  This was released during the 6th generation, and here we are in the 7th generation.  Sadly though the Bank still only offers 100 boxes.

Sure, 100 boxes was sufficient for me in 2013.  However one would possibly accrue the (1) Gen 7 Pokemon along with their various/multiple forms.  (2)  The complete Alola Dex provided you wished to have a complete set with the Alola "club/clover" mark.  (3)  A complete Kanto Dex from Red/Blue/Yellow with the "game boy" icon mark.

Ignoring forms this will be an extra 81, 302, and 151 Pokemon respectively.  Game Freak needs to give us more space.  Period.

Realistically though, 3000 spaces is more than enough because most likely 99% of Pokemon gamers won't even come close to filling that up.

Mythtendo, that's not true at all.

Pokemon is easier than ever to breed up teams, and for that, you need to breed large pools of stuff and IV check them. now, before Gen 6, you could just release the chaff, but it's more ethical at this point to mass wonder-trade it. it's VERY easy to have a crazy pile of varied pokemon.

That being said, if you're going to bitch about it, just use Pokemon Bank.
