I'm too late to the party on this. Which means I'm SOL. At this point, I'm looking forward to hearing more about the "card forms" of Amiibo. Maybe that's the way I'll go to try and get everything.

Gotcha. I already bought it on WiiU when it first came out at under a dollar - I just thought this was odd.

John and James - fantastic job with Now Playing. It was amazing. I really wanted to jump in on your Amiibo tangent. Here's an idea that Nintendo could use to really screw the fans - don't reprint an Amiibo of Marth. Instead, print an Amiibo of the Marth Amiibo. That's right. How meta would that be! That way those that got their hands on the originals still feel awesome, and those that get the Martha Amiibo Amiibo feel second best! I photoshopped a picture for reference. It's a Marth Amiibo on a new red stand!

I also agree that it's disingenuous. I was really excited when they released 1080 Snowboarding with the "Wii U" tag above it. I was like... they released an N64 game on the Wii U VC!... but they didn't.

I also hope they can overcome the technical hurdle that will allow the Gamepad controls to be used for Wii games. I'd love to play them right on the Gamepad screen (Bit Trip Complete, Galaxy, Geometry Wars, Wario Land Shake It, Mario Kart Wii, Punch Out!!!, Rhythm Heaven Fever, etc, etc, etc......)
