I'm not worried. The one way for DR Wii to truly work would be if it were built from the ground-up for the console anyways.

Well they never said it's an Xbox 360 exclusive...they just said that it's not coming to the Wii or PS3.........

TalkBack / RE:Guitar Hero 3 Coming to Wii

Yeah if they could have a guitar shell it would be awesome.

The way I look at it, the classic controller attachment has 8 buttons on. Wonder if there's a way to have a connection on the guitar that you plug the remote into and it thinks the guitar is the classic controller giving you 8 buttons to map, which would be more than enough for a guitar.

But the reality of it is.....it ain't happening.

Capcom BBS

Is this the Sven post you were talking about?

The answer is Dead Rising and Lost Planet are not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go. The reasons for this are quite convoluted and I'm bound by NDAs on these matters so I can't divulge why this is the situation.

I looked around and saw no one else posted it, (if they did, my bad) Anywho, here's the info.

(Tokyo, Japan - April 4, 2007) eSOL Co., Ltd. announced today that their leading embedded middleware products, "PrFILE2" FAT file system and "PrUSB/Host" USB host stack, were selected for the "WiiTM", from Nintendo Co.;.
Both software products constitute fundamental functionalities in the Wii console - managing and transferring data and files with external media. In particular, PrFILE2 provides file management functions which read and write data of theSD memory card, as well as other media;. PrUSB/Host functions are used in Wii, to provide USB host functions.

Not sure what that really means. Is it just firmware for the SD? Is it something that will allow you to hook up an external HDD to the USB?

Any thoughts?

Yes, but what did Mulder have to say about it?

But seriously, she was showing signs and if there is a chance of a medical problem the radio station should have precautions set up. If you ever listened to the clips it's pretty bad, she looked like she was pregnant she had so much water in her, then she was dizzy and had a headache, if the radio station would have had either a medical crew on hand or took her to the hospital, they could have saved her life.

Some of the other things the DJ's said were kinda creepy too. Such as: it doesn't matter she signed a waiver right? She'll just puke up any water if it's too much.

Reminds me a bit of Google Sketch-Up.

I'm just saying they almost look exactly like the Duplo people, not knocking Duplo for what it is, but hey, it's meant for kids 3 and under. When they create people in games that look like that, it sends out an image of a game made for 3 year olds. I like a lot of the ideas they have for the game, but wonder if it will actually pan out.

OK, first of all, here's the link over at IGN MySims Interview

I just kind of hate reading things like this. First of all the game a "kiddy" look to it
Quote

doesn't look like anything you've seen before. It really looks like something that was made for Nintendo.

Quote

you're going to feel like they're something created for a Nintendo console. In deciding to make MySims specifically for Wii as opposed to any of the other next-gen consoles, that's what we really wanted.

Quote

I think the game has a very Nintendo look to it.

I don't know why that bothers me so much, the game itself sounds interesting, but I can't get past the look.

The people look dead on like Duplo people, ya know the Legos that are made for kids under three (I have a 3 year old nephew) and the fact that the EA guy keeps saying it's a nintendo feel sickens me.

For a reference, go take a look at the screenshots of the game people then look at this.

Duplo people

They look so dead on I think Duplo should sue EA

Nintendo Gaming / RE:This just in...THE WII ADS PROMOTE VIOLENCE!
« on: March 29, 2007, 06:34:19 AM »
I hate the Advertising Standards Authority even worse than the parents.

Do you realize they had 17 complaints?

17!!!

OK, let's put it in small numbers, say between all the times that the ad was shown maybe 2000 people saw it...that means 0.85% of all people were offended, less than one fricking percent!!!

I'm sure the number of people that saw the ad were much higher than that, but who knows. You know, you really can't please everyone, so I'd understand if they had higher than 10% of the viewers make a complaint ya might want to reconsider the ad. But that's like a 99.15% approval for the ad, right?

I was reading an article about that. Some stores were only putting a couple of PS3s on the shelf to make it look like a limited number. I think it was a Target, the manager said that's the only way they can sell them.

They have to fake a high demand to move them off the shelf = pathetic.

IGN: Will this acquisition enable the implementation of online functionality in future Wii games published by Activision?

Steve Pearce: We tend to provide online functionality for all console platforms.

Dylan Collins: If you look at our track record, we've always been pretty much the first network guys on any platform coming out.

IGN: So you do have plans to develop online-enabled Wii games in the future?

Steve Pearce: Yup.

Dylan Collins: Yeah, I would say we do.

45
I was reading an interview that Activsion is working on some Online games for the Wii....have to dig up that one.

I don't know if you watched the trailer or not, but it does look pretty. It's basically the Sims though.

The one thing they I noticed is that they said it's a service free of charge, but when they started talking about additional clothing and furniture for your "apartment" they just said "available for download". 20 bucks, says they charge ya for it.

It is pretty neat, but I doubt it's going to be 100% free. Sony will find ways to charge you however they can.

Plan and simple.

Imagine Elebits. Now imagine Magneto from Marvel comics

Put them both together and what do you get? A kick ass game!!!

A FPS where you control Magneto, you can use his magnetic powers to move stuff around.

As you get deeper into the game your powers get stronger.

Wasn't sure where to put this at but they have an Official Spider-man 3 The Game community where you can get insider stuff on it and enter to win contests. The only trick is you have to be invited into to join.

I've got about 50 invites and most people who's e-mail address I have don't play games. If you want an invite to it, just send me a message.
