A new stage will drop tomorrow night and leave the squidkids in the midst of a giant apartment complex.

Flounder Heights will join the rotation tomorrow night at 10 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Pacific. The centerpiece of the map is a giant apartment building that is in the center of the map, meaning you'll have to somehow get around it to reach the enemy base.

The roof of the building is also claimable territory, which may also be good news for those who can use chargers.

If there is a history of societal/racial tension associated with Japan's implementation of public housing, that will be interesting to learn. In cities such as Hong Kong, I get the impression that buildings such as these are primarily to provide housing for a dense population. However, my historical knowledge surrounding such things is non-existent.


The few screenshots of Flounder Heights are intriguing. This map further plays with vertical space as seen in Moray Towers. However, this applies it to closer quarters.


I wonder if the bridge map will be a map with a special gimmick, echoing the gate feature of Camp Triggerfish.

Danshi are typically for poor Japanese people, and are incredibly small and dingy, awful places to live IMO.
More recently you may find immigrant families living there, Chinese, Philippine etc.
The rents are very cheap though, usually around 30-40,000yen compared to 70-80,000yen for a regular City apartment.
