First up is the headline title on Virtual Console, Super Smash Bros., which was promised before the holidays last month. Originally debuting on the Nintendo 64 in 1999, Super Smash Bros. was the first game in the fighting franchise that brought all of Nintendo's characters together for intense four-player brawls. It is available now for 1,000 Wii Points ($10).
The second Virtual Console game is the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden, which is more of a beat-'em-up than its NES namesakes. Players battle through the game's stages, which are modeled after popular Western misconceptions about ninjas and Japan, alone or with a friend. Ninja Gaiden is available for 600 Wii Points ($6).
On WiiWare, Nintendo's environmentally safe shooter Eco Shooter: Plant 530 leads the way. Developed by Intelligent Systems, the game puts players in the shoes of Mack, who is the last line of defense against the alien Cannoids. Using a recycling cannon, a vacuum, and more, players can use the Wii Zapper in this guided first-person shooter. Eco Shooter: Plant 530 is now available for 1,000 Wii Points ($10).
Next up is TV Show King 2, the sequel to the WiiWare launch title. Up to four players can take on 8,000 questions split into 12 categories as they try to figure out who is the TV Show King. The game supports local and online multiplayer and is available for 800 Wii Points ($8).
The third WiiWare game is the physics-based platformer Pallurikio. Using the Wii Remote, players control the titular round character as he rolls around more than 50 levels in environments such as the Bakumbala Jungle and Palluro Prime. Pallurikio is available for 1,000 Wii Points ($10).
The final WiiWare game of the week isn't so much a game as it is an application to make Christmas cards and send them to your Wii friends. Happy Holidays Christmas allows players to decorate greeting cards and send them in a message to their friends' Wii consoles. It is available for 500 Wii Points ($5).
DSiWare boasts five games this week, with Gameloft's take on UNO being at the forefront. For 800 Nintendo DSi Points ($8), players can play the classic card game with friends both online and off.
Also for 800 Nintendo DSi Points ($8), players can pick up Dragon's Lair, a DSiWare port of the classic laserdisc video game. Featuring animation by Don Bluth, Dragon's Lair stars Dirk the Daring as he tries to save a princess from a dragon.
Majesco hits the DSiWare scene with Hot and Cold: A 3D Hidden Object Adventure. Players must frantically search for hidden objects, making use of hints and their Hot and Cold meter. It is available for 800 Nintendo DSi Points ($8).
Hudson's High Stakes: Texas Hold'Em brings the popular card game to DSiWare. For 500 Nintendo DSi Points ($5), players can play in single-player tournaments and in local wireless multiplayer.
The final DSiWare title of the week is myNotebook: Green, another entry in Nnooo's myNotebook series. Once again featuring unlockable paper and ink colors, myNotebook: Green is 200 Nintendo DSi Points ($2).
