Nintendo are probably holding back info about this so people don't skip Super Mario 64 DS knowing that a completely new Mario title is coming shortly after. Or it just might not be very far into development, I wouldn't worry about it now, there's plenty of other DS games to keep us busy until we get more information about it.

Nintendo like to keep queit about new developments usualy, kind of frustrating for fans but you know. I'm guessing at the moment Nintendo are focusing all atention on Mario 64 DS, and then a couple of months after launch they'll start to really involve us with this new project.

I'm really looking forward to this one, how long has it been since we've last seen a traditional mario style platformer which hasn't already appeared on three other systems?

From the little footage available, I'm really hyped about this game. My only concern is the physics seemed a bit unusual for a mario platformer. But I guess that's just something that has evolved over the years.

Oh by the way, Hi, I'm new. lol

Nintendo is gonna be creative with this one, if they have even thought of anything yet it was prolly too early to show.  Something like controlling Mario and Luigi at once would sorta be redundant since they already did that with Mario & Luigi plus considering this is a platformer and each would have his own screen I think it would be less fun and more painstaking trying to control both.

Or nintendo could do the unexpected and just have a game that basically doesnt utilize any of the DS's features and just has the second screen display items and stuff and doesnt use mic, touchpad, etc... which brings into question why they are calling this a third pillar and not just GBA 2 since those are the type of games they are making for it.
