This patch is AWESOME! I ordered the game the day the patch was released! Hurray for fan translations! Now I can't wait for the game to arrive!
And no, you don't need an import Wii or a modified one to play the game: the patch will take care of that for you (I read that info on the official patch site)

I own a PSP-2000 and will NEVER buy an iPhone for gaming or else.
No physical buttons = no sale. Period.

I'd argue that by the time your Dualshock 2's batteries die for good, you've probably beaten the crap out of it and it needs to be replaced anyway.
You would be suprised if I showed you my gaming collection hardware and peripherals. My SNES Capcom Fighting Power Stick is still in awesome condition!  ;)

I like how the controllers are rechargeable so I don't have to buy a bunch of AA batteries (hint hint, Nintendo)
This is actually what I don't really like about the PS3: basically, when the batteries inside your controller die, you will have to buy a new one. With the Wiimotes, you just have to put new batteries in and you're ready to go!

The thing is, the way that Wet controls it probably wishes it was on-rails because those controls are horrible.  I'd try to do things like the double-shot double-kill as the tutorial would tell me to do it, and it just wouldn't work.
Agreed. I kinda like the way the game looks and it has Eliza Dushku as the lead character's voice. But honestly, the controls are TERRIBLE. I wasn't able to actually aim where I wanted to, this bullet time effect isn't welcome here either. Very meh, I was expecting something better.

Eeeeek, the new 3.0 firmware adds a fugly new start-up logo :(
And the Playstation 3 logo is gone when launching a game. Bah.

Indeed.  This game looks to me like a substantially less-compelling cousin of Fatal Frame, which means I'll probably play it when I run out of Fatal Frame games to play but not before.

Ahhh, Fatal Frame Wii...*sigh*

No EA games, but I do have some Capcom games (RE5, SF4) and I've heard they don't transfer well.
No, they transfer fine. All the trophies are stored server side via PSN. You might as well transfer your saves and redownload all your PSN games.

How the heck can you transfer those protected save files? I'm interested!

This version is cheaper and I was kinda mad at first (because I got mine 2 months ago) but it looks so fugly.
I'm glad I got the 80Gb PS3 back in June and there's no way I'm buying the Slimmer model.

Just got the US version off Ebay for 29 euros, shipping included. It's new so I guess it's not a bad deal.

decoyman, I'm freaking tired of reading about the stupid iPhone everywhere I go. It's like phones didn't exist before, it's ridiculous.
This is a Nintendo board and this thread shouldn't even exist here.
You can enjoy your phone all you want, I won't bother you again then.

Strange, all Nintendo hardware is in cardboard boxes here.
Yeah, in Europe, they always came in cardboard boxes but not in the US.

I also just ordered a Black Wiimote, Nunchuk and Classic Controller Pro from Japan. They looked so awesome that I couldn't help myself!

I think the saying goes, à chaque un son gout?
I'm actually French and the saying goes like "à chacun ses gouts".

Oh don't feel sorry for me, I have no intention in hell to buy an iPhone. I can't stand the thing.
If I had to chose another portable device besides the DS to play games, I would go for a PSP. Wait, I already have one!
But Apple and its overpriced/overhyped stuff, no freaking way, thanks.

Oh I get it now: this whole thread is an April's fool joke!!
Because I was beginning to worry that people actually think the **** iPhone is a viable platform for real games. Pheww!

« on: July 16, 2009, 03:23:21 PM »
Ok so the film is on the screen protector. I'm gonna try to clean it and put it back.

edit: hmmm, I'm not sure how to clean this. I tried to clean it with plain water and dry it with a soft cloth but when I re-apply it, I have like a million air bubbles between the protector and the screen and can't seem to make them go away.  ???

@Stratos: it's ok.
@vudu: I'm not sure, I need to check it out.

I think I may try to order another screen protector, they're only 3 bucks on play-asia.

Well, the Hori screen protectors ARE licensed by Nintendo in Japan.

« on: July 15, 2009, 06:23:47 PM »
Hey guys,

I've had my DSi since the US launch, along with the official Japanese Hori screen protectors.
I hadn't used it for a few weeks then decided to open it.
And this is what I saw:

The bottom screen protector looks like this! I tried to clean it but that blurriness thingy seems to be between the protector and the screen itself. What should I do? can I remove it and try to apply it again? do I need to buy another one?
I have no idea where the heck this came from! Maybe because of the heat?  ???

I will wait for reviews of the Japanese version but this looks very promising!
I hope they will keep the Japanese voices for the US version (which will probably come out at some point I think)
