Topic: What is the best 2 player game?

Hello!

I was just wondering which game everyone thinks is the BEST TWO PLAYER GAME for GameCube?

I realised all my games were 1-player (which kinda sucks when you have a friend over) and that I should expand my collection.

I just ordered Mario Kart: Double Dash!!! and am waiting for that (because I played it in a store and it seemed really good).

Soul Calibur 2.  I think there is a "what game should I get" topic that is something like 500 posts long.  Everything you need to know is likely in there (somewhere ).

Digimon Rumble Arena 2 (Renamon VS Renamon holla), Tetris Worlds, Super Mario Sunshine, Blinx and Super Scope are the best two player games on GameCube.

But I was hoping to kind of find a Zelda-like game with two players.

Or something like Halo for the xbox

Well Legend of Zelda: FOUR swords is multiplayer if you can supply each player a GBA and and GCN to GBA cable.

Edit: If you want a superb FPS for the Cube I would  recomend Timesplitters 2 wich can be found 15 - 20.  If you want to wait until feb.  Timesplitters Future Perfect will come out.(Im assuming you dont have TS2 on Xbox since you mentioned Xbox in your post)

Well, if by Zelda like you mean a CO-OP Game where you run around with swords and slash monsters, I recommend Gauntlet: Dark Legacy and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King also features cooperative hack and slash, but it has that vaguely shallow feel to it that a lot of EA games have and some of the levels are pretty tough.

I wouldn't recommend four swords unless you have four friends, it just isn't as fun with 2 people =/

I disagree. GameCube is a good game, but Donkey Kong is better. No but like, apart from these wonderful choices (especially the Super Scope, whoever brought that game up should be given $400 trillion dollars and a medal with a ice block and is BEST MAN? I donot understand) try Burnout 2. It has the rad cops and robbers 2 player game, which ISN'T IN BURNOUT 3. ;__;

You unlock the 2 player mode in Mario Sunshine by linking Super Mario 64 up to the VCR via some pointless connection device that most likely shipped with Pokemon Porn Party for Virtual Boy. First you have to unlock Luigi in Mario 64, but that's easy, and everybody knows how to do that by now.

To reiterate Soul Calibur 2 is an excellant game period and is great for 2 player. I'd suggest more but I havn't played any other multiplayer games yet. Smash Bros melee is a system favourite for many
