I took a trip to duluth, minnesota today and i went into the gamestop store to buy my brother in law something. I looked past the counter and there was a black screen with a GC controller by it, then when i went to purchase the gift for my bro in law there was a demo disk running on the previously blank screen and guess what it had Mario Kart on it! i almost screemed right infront of the clerks face. I played a couple rounds of it and then i had to go meet my mom and pops. Demo's never can be a true reflection of the game, since its very uncomfortable and the controller never works 100% right but i was alittle dissapointed. The only thing was that the carts only went p to like 40 mph, to slow for me. The weapon system worked fine changing people was no problem but there was alittle to much to do at once, im sure I'll get used to it when i play it a couple times though. The graphics were good, but only one track was unlocked.

I just got the Japanese version of Double Dash - great game. Haven't tested LAN yet, since I don't know anyone with a Gamecube...esepcially one with the Japanese Mario Kart.

EDIT: Ok, apparently angelfire thought it would be friggin hilarious if their server just STOPPED. I can't host it yet but if and when it starts working again, I'd be happy to.

EDIT: Scratch my earlier edit. Angelfire is not down. I have no idea what's wrong. My site still exists. I just sent an email asking for my password and they gave it to me. If someone is able to access my website (www.angelfire.com/super2/syko/index.html) PLEASE tell me. Why doesn't it WORK?!

Yes, the State's release date is the latest.

The sales are good for Japan on it's first release weekend.
Over 180 000 units sold in 3 days.
