I think you DO qualify as a casual gamer if you've never played a Star Fox (shooter) before!

Honestly, go do yourself a favor and pick up 64, and especially the original if you have an SNES...

I never really liked the N64 version. The extra vehicels were a pain IMO. The levels no where near as hectic or dangerous a the original. The Frog was more of a pain than ever. Although the most noticable thing was the loss of speed.

Well considering the fact that the Star Fox team's job is to eliminate the enemy threat, I don't think they would just blast through every level as fast as they could...

And your point is?

That it could confuse gamers going in to the store thinking they are getting an Action/Adventure.

First of all, I am sorry that everyone hates me and my posts.  It appears that Bloodsworth is my only friend.  I called him a dumbass, he threatened to ban me. It was a thing we had.

But anyway, I am happy for two reasons.

1. This article actually lasted at least a whole day before being banned.

2.  I am glad that so many people love Star Fox.

I never knew. I thought that I was the only one.

Long live the legend, of the greatest game of all time, Star Fox 64!

But one more question. Why if everyone hates this post so much did it reach a thirty plus posting mark?

I dont hate your posts.

Its not banned yet so dont fret.

Anyway I HOPE that they improve the GFX because when it was shown last it looked like a 64 game.

I prefer the original game's style to Star Fox 64 - the voices in 64 were annoying, and the music wasn't as good IMO.  However, I loved the level design of both, and I'll be happy to play a new one.

And boy, you need to stop calling things official, staff are the only ones that can make an official thread.

I think if you make an "official" thread and you're not a moderator you should be instantly banned. That'll show em.........=p

Hmm... I've never really played the SNES version (passed 10 minutes on an emulator), but I really did like the N64 version. I remember I used to go through the game saying everying just before the characters did. I never got it wrong. The music was pretty standard, but I liked the flair Kondo added to it... it might not have been original, but I feel it was done right.

Still, this game had a pretty mediocre trailer at the last E3... I really hope they've picked it up a bit.

Dude, I'm stoked for SF Armada.  Star Fox 64 was the best on the 64 for a LONG time.  After being a fan of the SNES version, we snagged Star Fox as our first 64 game, and loved it *rented a 64 many times before just to play it*.  For literaly multiple years, every (except for maybe 10 a year) weekend I would get together and play this game all Friday night/Saturday morning.  Never played a game so much until smash bros came out.  I mean we figured out how to do tricks that I haven't seen published anywhere *"snow" on Corneria anyone?*  My brother in his heyday rocked the single player experience too.  Set over 2000 on the main game.  At the time it was the National *US* record.  Somebody broke it in a month or two *barely*, but still.

I'm stoked, and can't wait for the revised graphics and play control.  I'm a huge fan.  Almost as big as Bill I would say.  ;-)
